Advice? Keep improving. If you really want to create games and/or art, just keep doing it. It takes time and effort to develop skills. I would just recommend taking notes from other similar projects and apply them yourself. Games can be hard enough to make on their own, at least the internet is around for you to gain knowledge on it.

I honestly don't know what else advice I can give. If you have the interest and passion for it, then sure, go for it. Plan what you want to make, and move accordingly, whilst also trying not get burnt out. 🤷‍♂️

Glad I could be of any help. Just like any profession or hobby, it takes time and effort to learn it. I hope you find joy in what you do, and I will be sure to check your upcoming projects as well.

I know for a fact 3D can be a bit more difficult, considering all the models and stuff. Just take your time and don't feel like you have to rush something out for the sake of it. It is important to have fun making games, and have it not feel like a daily chore.

Just keep on going forward, and keep a positive attitude along while improving. A happy mind is a peaceful mind. Cheers!

Is there a roadmap for this project? What is the goal here? Have you planned and mapped it out yet? Not trying to sound rude or anything, just wondering. It most likely is your first attempt at game development, so respects to that.

I generally think that the most important thing in the process of creating a game, is to know what you want to make. Then start focusing on the gameplay aspect and making sure that the mechanics are just right. It is very important in a game where the gameplay features more than just pointing and clicking with your mouse, that it gives off a smooth and satisfying feel, and works as intended. Most of the time, it might just be the format of gameplay that doesn't particularly give a responsive result.

I don't necessarily have a particular point in this comment, other than that I think brainstorming and thorough planning of a project is what makes or breaks a game in the end.

As for your game project as it stands now, it isn't bad. If you are serious about this, then keep going and keep improving. You definitely got the creativity for it. And to be honest, in my humble opinion, I think art/graphics comes in second when creating a game. If the game has good gameplay and a satisfying format, then the quality of the art isn't as important to me. Always good to find a perfect balance between quality and quantity. At least, that is what I think.

Anyways, good luck with your project, and keep going. Cheers!

It is true, it does glitch you through the floor. But there is a way to get past it.

lol?

Well it is definitely not even close to being among the worst 'first projects' I have seen on this site, so keep going. It looks like you have a solid foundation here.

If you have ideas and goals, pursue them. I am sure you could make something of interest for people on the site. As for now, there is not much to give feedback on, as the project is not that complex. Just do what you want and what you are passionate about, and try not to get burnt out doing it. Take your time and I am sure you could make something great.

Cool system, has a lot of potential if you utilize it in a bigger project and develop a full game based around it.

As it stands right now, it's kind of dry. Sprinkle in some more flavor as in more content, and it might be worth some money if you wish to create a pretty good adult game project.

Then again, this is just my opinion. And if you're not planning on creating a complete game experience, that is fine. It's a neat little thing as it is. You do you.

Just now discovered this devlog. By the looks of it, it seems development is going steadily forward and at a faster pace than I initially thought. Great work!

I originally thought you didn't post devlogs and just worked at it without bothering to provide info on progress, but I sure was wrong. I agree with your opinion on Patreon being unnecessary stress load added, so once again I will only say this: Take your time and keep up the great work. Cheers!

I really like the concept and the experience so far. Keep it up!
Only thing I could see improving on is the movement, as it feels a bit stiff, but it works well enough.

All there really is left to make this good game a GREAT game, is more content, which would flesh out the experience to a satisfying fulfillment.
Take your time and keep up the great work! Cheers!

Also, your discord link = broke

Interesting...

I read the titles of the dev logs LMAO
(keep up the good work tho)

I literally just made an account to say that I wish you only the best. And I must say, I fucking love thirstchasm, and I thought Tailbound was pretty good when I tried it some time ago. Saw that it was cancelled, and was like "meh, pity". Didn't feel betrayed at all, so I don't know why you would call yourself untrustworthy, but then again, I'm not within your whole community sphere.

Just wanted to say that I enjoy your work, and look forward to this one. Don't stress yourself too much with opinions from the outer void. Peace and take care.
