SPOILERS - do not read until you play the game !

LOVE LOVE LOVE the atmosphere, art, story, and sound design of this game - especially as someone who lives in a secluded travel trailer "alternative community" and loves opossums, this is sooo cute and just the right amount of horror to perfect the creepiness and the relatability of the people involved in the story. 

I get a lot from this game, an interesting perspective on grief, loss, abuse, cult dynamics, and the damaged souls "too resistant" or "too stubborn" to be lured into cult

I think the choice of oppossums for the creature is beautiful - an animal that only lives 1-3 years, has no defense mechanism other than to play dead, and wears a white "mask of death." It's a short, mostly peaceful life scavenging from carcasses and rot, perhaps symbolizing the recycling of pain, grief, and death that these folks were unable to contend with in life.

I LOVE the pronoun room, and the narration - especially around critiquing "Western" concepts of gender when exploring the Indigenous rooms. I wish those rooms were more fleshed out; perhaps a consultant from those cultures could give input!

One note for the "Fem/Femme" room - the term "Femme" actually originated in gay black & latino male ballroom culture! It then became a shorthand in the lesbian community, since ballroom performers had a lot of community crossover with lesbians. I think it's important to recognize the history since Femme is an inclusive label not just for lesbians, and men and trans people can see their history in the term.

Overall, an absolutely wonderous experience to explore gender and self. Honestly, a spiritual and emotional journey in many ways. I really loved the gender dysphoria and euphoria/congruence room. It feels very empowering and affirming to walk through this experience and see so much reverence and respect to gender exploration and identies.
