yes! i JUST finished playing and found the Signal Lost! end :)
going to edit it right now. that was such a good experience. i explain it more in my video :D
seriously such a simple idea executed so well. thank you for having such good player controller. it felt very smooth and actually in control of the player. the fact there was no grappling hook made every choice more important lol!
Investigating a Slaver-Ship Turned Into Cargo Hauler - YouTube
I know this game is older, BUT IT WAS SO FUN, and I loved uncovering the story as I played. :D
weird how the video only shows as a link, but oh well lol
ok everytime you exit the truck (it says enter truck, but i know it's exit) you have to make sure to look away from the beacon on top of the truck, and while trying to move forward you hit ctrl for crouch. that's the only way to get passed it that i've found. it took me a very long time to figure out i needed to fix the engine, because i cant really understand the characters dialog lol. then when i fixed it i tried to get back into the cab and it i guess something knocked me away from the truck? i just started flying very fast away from the truck and i ended up just walking around in some blackness forever lol.
anyways i write this so you can look into it if you wanted to. cool idea, but those bugs make it extremely difficult to get to an ending. good luck on your next project tho! :)
im really liking the atmosphere, but understanding the characters is nearly impossible. i was going to add this to a 3 scary games video and im going to give it another go later when i actually record.
the idea for this is really good! I just want to understand the characters. i absolutely LOVE the outdoor atmosphere
EDIT: i forgot to mention half of the problem with not understanding the characters is that the bg ambient noise/music is so much louder than the dialog.
i dont know what engine u are using but recently i found that in Godot u can make 1 audio bus do 'audio ducking' under another audio bus. i bet unity and other engine have some equivalent.
just thought i'd throw that out there lol
clearly subtitles would help, but i know thats a lot more work for a jam game
i just watched the video and it was hilarious!! i've never seen so much dich succing in my game before LOL. thanks for playing! It's ok you didnt get the other ending. it's similar to the one where he strangles you, he just says "hi" and is very calm and then all of a sudden starts strangling again lol
ok i figured it out! i was soft-locked. i had not found a blue key before going into that bedroom with the scary closet. so i was stuck in there forever Lol! there's no way to get the blue key when you are in there.
i figured it out because i just played the whole game again (loved it!) and i got the same objective for the blue key and this time i was not in the bedroom, stuck.
i wish i could describe it better, sorry.
anyways i loved the atmosphere. in this game :)
oh thanks for not just fixing the un-crouching but also the planks covering the low spaces. those tricked me a few times, i thought i couldnt go in them so i would run away after it looked like it wouldnt open, but they WERE open lol!
Thanks :)
i dont think i encountered anything else during my couple hours of playtime
i just played it and i agree with all of your points. those things would make this rock-solid gameplay. the footstep noise happens in so many games. i also use godot and i make my player footsteps an audiostreamplayer, no positional audio at all.
the rope swinging truly IS absurdly good/fun, as you said LOL
