i already told u some of this in disc but this game genuinly understands "slick" on a fundamental level, instead of uniquely interpreting the theme you go for the brute force approach of directly applying it in the most unapolagetic way. you have baked it down to a science the concept of slickness. this game is filled with those punchy "WHOA NEW MECHANIC" moments that make you the developer look COOL AS FUCK. every time im introduced to a new thing in this game it feels like im 3 and watching jingling keys. also the SCHMOOOVEEMENT is so goooooooddddd yummmmmmmmmmm.

the visual design is so *crisp* and tony is i think the most swag individual known *to man*, and i just fucking love funky jet set radio songs so like this game was visually and auditorily a treat.

i love shit like this, i love me some SA2, i love me some speedrun games, i love me a score and a ranking system, i love me a little arcade skill based "single player competetive", this is litterally made for me specifically.

if i had to opportunity to submit to this jam, i would have given this game 5 stars in every catagory, because its just unironically the best game. you have consistently made the best game (imo) 2 years in a row holy shit

this game is awesome man...
its like if sonic adventure 2 was a warm blanket with some hot cocoa

your physics engine understands the innate feeling of being 7 years old so well that i genuinly feel nostalgia (running around in grassy fields and hitting things on accident type beat). nostalgia from a PHYSICS ENGINE

v excited for paper sky and hope your game development journey goes long and far (unless you decide that you dont like gamedev or something (which is fine then i just hope your creative journey in general goes far (unless you decide to do something not creative idk i hope you enjoy where you end up (i kinda hope that of everyone actually but you get the point right?))))

the horses werent a fundamental part of the human condition, or the way we express ourselves and our experiences. Cars didnt do litteral theft of horse innards without the tamer permission. u dont gotta play the luddite card against HUMAN SELF EXPRESSION. you suck

if ai is "inevitable" then we will do our best postpone that shit until the universe ends and then some

i really like this bcuz im trying out a bunch of different *hitbox based horses* and i couldnt test any of them untill now! (the other engines didnt have accurate hitboxes) tysm for making this!

could you add spritesheet support so i only have to upload 1 png? (its kinda annoying to split my spritesheets into 8 diff pngs) cool stuff btw!

yeah there was gonna be a timer but for some reason i scrapped it, i think it was to remove pressure on the player? during the 4 second grace period??? (which is dumb in hindsight, cuz i had a timer in another game and it worked just fine)

oh and i also you got have 5's across the board cuz game good

i think you uploaded the source code and not the game, i can tell its a godot thing so ill try putting it into godot and seeing if its playable, *later*

jokes aside this is the best game design in this jam i have seen so far. like- yeah, there could be some things ironed out, but this is genuinly addicting. im trying to rate all the games, but i keep getting pulled back to this one, yknow?

i hit him from the top, and yeah, i agree on everything else you said. the *attack linger* was a part of the challenge in my head but i understand why that might seem a wee cringe. your almost at the end of the game anyways

just spam jump when he dies, also the sounds are suppost to duplicate, it does with the other bosses, thats his death screech, hes the big one after all, hes the loudest
