I am also on Linux - developed game completely on there, and it runs really well via wine too
I really appreciate detailed feedback. You are absolutely correct about the drums: so far I have only been learning mostly about drums, rhythm and such - hence I have only added light layers of instruments that act as bass and some very simple chords (major, minor, sus2 and sus4) to focus on that part. Will definitely consider updating the pack with longer version if I come back to this when I learn more about making music.
Hi! I’ve went through your videos! It’s very interesting to see your work process. Out of curiosity, how long have you been using these tools (blender, paint.net etc) to become proficient enough in them?
Anyways, here’s my (hopefully constructive) feedback:
I think primary reason people buy assets is that it saves a ton of time. Even if your methods were public, most people would still prefer assets because all the work is already done and is ready for usage.
I think value in having access to the way you build stuff is twofold:
I fall in between these two categories, so to me your new package showing how you create your stuff is no brainer, but I’m just posting this to say that there’s no need to be defensive about this stuff, since audiences don’t overlap too much! Anyways, I appreciate the work you do so much :)
Amazing how much this asset pack improved since I bought it a year ago!
Also, have you considered maybe giving a .txt or .docx file about tips on how to create additional models that are cohesive with these ones? I’m specifically mostly interested in how you do shading on the texture itself (and there seems to be some noise over it?), but I figure others might be curious about such details aswell!
Keep it up mate c:
