Absolutely love this game. The simplicity and aesthetic and how well they're executed is really inspiring. Well done!

Wow, thank you so much! I really appreciate that and I'm so happy you enjoyed it. This was actually my very first TTRPG idea, so I ended up reworking it probably way too many times. I was worried it had lost its spark, so I'm really glad it still shone through. I'm currently developing a full RPG system/game world called Sorceria which takes a lot of Shortsword's ideas and greatly expands on them, so please look forward to it! :)

No problem! Thanks for playing :)

It seems like I didn't take that into account when I wrote the game! I'll give you two options: an unarmed attack that deals d4-1 damage (like in my other game Shortsword), or treating the monstrosity as if it's a horror.

Thanks for the review! I just want to point out a couple things that you might have missed:

- You can break down walls by interacting with them! It lowers your SP but that's sort of the trade-off to being able to shape the dungeon a little;

- I originally had a very traditional "arrows move, keys perform the [a]ction associated with their verb" control scheme, but maybe due to exhaustion or nerves I figured WASD to move would be more natural/comfortable (that's the last time I second guess my intuition);

- There are actually three endings, each depending on your title, and whether you become a "killer" or not. The gaunt man essentially presents a questline that opens one of them;

- As for your ending...you just made the wrong choice lol.

I greatly appreciate the time you took to play and review it. Thanks again. 7DRL was a great growing experience and I'm glad I did it.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it

And thank you for playing it and giving me your feedback!
