Thanks so much, Jake!

So, the print and digital versions are indeed exactly the same except for the back cover, which is upside down on the print version. lol I know it hardly justifies its own file 😅

Players are arcanists, developing their unique approach to spellcraft while navigating a world where their studies may be the only solutions to complex problems or dangerous quests.

This is a full-scale TTRPG built around a modular, customizable spell-crafting system with over 180 components to boot.

If you enjoy thought experiments, creative problem solving, and a sense of discovery at the gaming table, Arcana will appeal greatly, rewarding player curiosity, creativity, and cleverness.

We just launched here on Itch: check us out!

Please spread the word if you have a friend who's into indie TTRPGS! #No-AI

This game is an astounding collection of every sci-fi idea you know and love, and at least a hundred more you never imagined. Far from rules-light, it's 300+ pages of rules for just about any scenario your players can encounter on scales of science fiction from space-station and supercarrier combat, to armed terrestrial vehicle engagements, to crawling through shuttle chambers and vents, all the way down into cyberspace with hacking mechanics.

The layout of the book is really easy to skim and scan through, and the PDF is well structured with bookmarks for chapters, sections, and subsections in some cases. The typography and visual language is solid, with colored keywords in bold that make it really easy to find exactly what you need to look up.

The lore and setting are insane. If you're looking for a DEEP setting, this is a good choice. There are alien languages in here to learn, pages and pages of star systems, 30 pages of alien creatures, and a timeline stretching about 3000 years.

That being said, I wanted to just play the dang thing, so I skipped the lore at first and opted to run a game in a world I already knew. I found it really easy to curate all the items, mechanics, and even a ship (with floorplan!) to adapt one of my favorite episodes of Cowboy Bebop (the one with the refrigerator, iykyk) and run a game for a friend.

The game itself is straightforward to play, depending on how granular you want to get with certain mechanics. Roll a bunch of d6's based on how good you are at what you're attempting, and as long as one of them lands on a 6, that's a success. It's a simple enough concept for a beginner RPG player to grasp quickly, but additional mechanics keep things interesting for players who like to push their luck whenever possible!

Overall, it's more than worth the $30 price tag and makes for a memorable game night and an awesome addition to my RPG quiver.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!

Thanks so much!! Have fun!!
