I've been playing this a lot and I love the mix of sad, happy, funny, absurdist, and challenging ideas. I'm not bringing a lot of gaming baggage or experience with me and I guess that makes a difference in how receptive I am, though that is a sad thought. I'm glad to see you standing your ground against those who would project their own expectations on to your work. You are absolutely right. There needs to be room for things like this in games. It's fascinating to me, so I hope you keep bringing the strange!
Oh, and I showed a few pages to a group of about 10 people a few days ago and they really responded!
Also, I adore this font and I could type in it for hours...
