I was so worried about the water levels, cause I know it is a risky move to put in any platformer. Glad to see worst case someone enjoyed it lol. Definitely need to work on my tutorials, the levels called baby steps, but it is quite a leap to complete the first level. Glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for playing!
I am assuming the levels are randomly generated, and if so it is really well done. Once I figured out how to loop the doors open and fire on or off I was ready to tackle multiple levels. The skeleton is quite fearsome, if I ever found myself on their path I found myself always freezing up. Good job on the game!
This is so incredible, I am shocked it hasn't been rated by more. I saw sniff man's thumbnail and knew what must be done. The music is insanely good, along with the other sfx. I don't fully get how to balance my brain, and I am short of a few achievements, but it is a really fun concept, doubt anything else is remotely like it.
Came here after seeing the video. Ngl, it is really hard. Repeatedly forcing me to go through top right corners will having my moving rotate left is so cruel lmao. You've just dropped me into a new world and instant hit me with the hard stuff. Luckily I was able to use the bounce off the ground trick I saw in the background footage of the video. It pays to do your study kids. Wish I could get further, cause the movement and sfx really is quite satisfying, but when I accidentally back tracked it broke me.
This is such a cool idea, I genuinely felt like I was learning. Always wanted know what SOS was in morse code. Highlighting the letter is very nice QOL touch which I really appreciate. Having the sound for when a dash is complete also meant I never had to guess how long or short to press. A very well executed idea!
I absolutely love the vibe of this. The visuals and music along with POV + portrait is so sick. I Like the wholesome story, cause I was spamming 'k' at the start, but by the end I learnt from my mistakes and now only eye roll occasionally.
Is there a game that looks like this, or is the genuinely an original look, either way really good job!
I really like the idea of holding space to move and line up with the other cars. Allows for one button to still feel pretty dynamic. I imagine I was supposed to see bullets and dodge them, but I was unable to, but that is also a great idea that adds to the movement. Great job! I do wish there was some kind of scoring system though.
The music getting faster put on the pressure! Luckily I managed to beat in on the first go so I won't have to watch whatever fate lied beyond the timer.
I found the jump / moving forward a bit inconsistent, and I I didn't realise I had to full screen to see the UI lol. Maybe you could adjust the viewport settings in your itch project? Also you mentioned in the description seeing the screen shots, but to get them to show on your project you need to click edit theme then edit it in the layout section. I only know cause I had the exact same issue (unless these issues are related to my device default settings, in which case sorry for this).
Besides that though, the sweep resetting after each stop and jump made it intuitive to maneuver, and I think it was a very well chosen difficulty. Great job, was genuinely fun to play!
Always loved the blinking mechanics of that one SCP game. Glad I could try out a game with that at its core. First playthrough was definitely the scariest, but I soon found a nice rhythm to get through the night. Really like the monster's model, the way it moves right as you close you eyes is a nice touch. Great job!
The illusion theme was implemented in a very interesting way, hovering over things gave hints to what was to be discovered which I found quite fun! The gameplay was engaging and balanced, often having me barely pass each level, but not failing completely. I had some issues with dragging the dice from the table to the numbers sometimes, but ending turn did fix it each time.
Congrats on the submission, was a delight to play.
