The atmosphere reminds me of cobalt core! Amazing atmosphere!

Hey! I would back up the other comment, it's a bit too random that the mutations are randomly determined, I consider tower defense a strategy genre so would look into ways to improve that. The visuals are super charming, love them! congrats!

I love the minimalist graphics and I'm shocked by the amount of content! amazing job for a jam, and hope you continue working on it!

Would add some polis to the aiming first thing if you continue!

I abosulutely love the narrative/intro moment, simple but gives you a lot of context

hold to auto shoot would be nice for the gameplay

I fell trough a wall mid rung and had to restart ( I think it needs a pass on the collision)

But overall fun and original! congrats !

Super hardcore turtle gameplay haha! I loved it, but enemies are very challenging to beat. The mechanic of you getting a mutation the enemies get the other ones? never seen that, super original. The only gameplay piece of feedback it's about the dash, it's not clear for me from glance to know when I have it available or not, and that's crucial in this gameplay where the  only way to avoid a shot is a dash. I would also like to see some obstacles in the map that  allow for taking cover I think that would help!

Something that comes to my mind, when I played pubg, if you get shot from the back but you have a pan equiped you don't get damage. Maybe you could do the same with the turttle shell? that would also allow for some cover (just an idea)

Overall, a very fun and original entry!

I love the vibe of the game, and a deck builder in a week? you should be proud. I love the theme and the funny vibe and the sound effects when attacking are very nice and funny, love it!

In two rounds the early game has been tough to me though, couldn't get past MichaelWave ahah (love the names)

Some feedback taken while playing:

The main visual effect makes the text a bit blurry which is a bit annoying for a card game where you spend time reading the cards/effects

I'm missing a lot cards that allow you to bring other cards to the hand, it can ber very lucked based without those (totally understandable, it's a jam)

Would be nice needing to drag the cards on the target so it's more clear/sage cancelling an attack (sometimes i clicked back on the hand the card selected was still being played)

I think the 2.5D or whatever it's called makes a difference with the other survivor-like games I've played. It's a new skill to learn which is great! I like it! The music is very good, and the art is perfect. Very polished/finished for a game jam, you guys should be proud!

Regarding the difficulty scaling, I completely agree. I will spend more time introducing more challenging enemies and also balancing the upgrade mutations (they are kind of OP atm)


Regarding wiggling the sword I also agree, there's already the stamina bar that limits the dashing and deflecting, probably sword swings should also burn some mana yes!

By checkiing the comments I see it's besit if i play windows version for the lag

The lag on my end was a bit heavy, however the moments I've didn't have I can say I've enjoyed the controls and the level art/design. I would add a bit of feedback to know when I've hit the frogs. Appart from that, good game :) 

Nice game! I like the little toasts/text boxes explaining the mutations. Goodr art style and good gameplay, keep it up!!!

Hey no worries, the shadow feels very good visually, but it's very useful to have the shadow and the weapon in two different sprites, this way I'll be able to let's say tweak the shadow or apply an outline that affects the weapon only :) Chers mate, really love your assets, doing a small game using them,  will add you to the credits when I release it!

Do you have a version without shadows? that wuld be usefulf, nice weapons :)

I have a question, how did you accomplish having different shapes with the same outline thickness? Did you create specific sprites for each shape? or a shader?

Amazing game by the way, enjoyed it a lot!
