It might be a bug...
I had the same thing happen where someone's info checks out, but when you call their apartment to double check, they answer and say they're inside
But since all their info checked out, I opened the door for them anyway, hoping the endgame breakdown would tell me what I missed, but then I survived with 0 dopplegangers allowed in!
Either it's a bug, or the residents are supposed to make mistakes sometimes, so you can't just take their word for everything

One of the Peachman brothers came to the window, and all their info checked out just fine, but I called their number anyway, just to be sure, and they answered and said they were both inside...
But since everything checked out, I decided to let the supposed doppleganger inside anyway, so the endgame breakdown would tell me what detail I missed...
But then I survived with an S rank anyway?
Bug? Or are the residents supposed to make mistakes sometimes? It would make sense if they do, as calling the apartments does seem a bit too easy
