🎉 Great job on the first build!
I really enjoyed testing this early version and wanted to share some thoughts that might help with polishing the next iteration. The character art caught my attention right away — clean, charming, and very well done. Congrats on getting the project off the ground!
🧪 Gameplay & Controls
- The character movement feels floaty. Not sure if that was intentional, but it might be worth refining — especially if you're aiming for platforming sections that demand more precision.
- The attack is responsive and accurate, which feels great. That said, since it's the first attack, a horizontal direction might be more intuitive than downward. Please consider adding a control guide on-screen for players testing the build.
- Check the enemy's top collider — the player can stand on them, which might not be the intended behavior.
🎨 Visuals & Consistency
- Pixel sizes across background and environment elements vary. Aligning them to a consistent scale would strengthen the visual identity.
- The parallax background stops abruptly at the screen edges. Smoothing that transition could enhance the immersion.
🔊 Feedback & Polish
- Attack feedback is excellent — once you add SFX and VFX, it’ll feel incredibly satisfying.
- The text box seems fixed in size. If you're planning mobile or smaller screens, responsive scaling might help avoid layout issues.
Keep it up! It's already fun to play and has solid foundations. Looking forward to seeing how the project evolves. 👏
