Yeah I think there's something with the idea!
I've never actually played armoured core but I listened to the Into the Aether podcast discussing it after I had this idea was surprised of the similarities.
There's a whole bunch that I didnt get done like Cloverpit like 'boons' that last for different lengths and stuff. Also I was toying with equipable armour and different weapons and melee weapons etc.
The end goal would be to be like 'oh I've got some good boons going for flamethrower, burn damage and multikills so I'm going to buff those stats and grab multipliers that feed into that'
Can't claim the design, that's def a pre-bought asset. I've only got coding bones... no artistic ones :P
Buttons for the demo
Move - WASD
Dodge Roll - Space
Fireball - LMB, Hold to continue firing and lock onto a target
Firewall - RMB
Click on doors and chests to interact
Inventory - I
Drag and drop or double click to equip items, augments and skills.
Skills Menu - K
Press Skill1, Skill2, Skill3, Skill4 to switch skill panels and equip augments.
There is only one floor in this demo build.
This build also has controller support.
holy hell. this is amazing. the music is so charming, the level design and progression of elements and the twists in the platforming/puzzles are integrated at an awesome clip, the character design is amazing, the puzzles are challenging and rewarding. i was getting super meat boy vibes, except pleasant. even the clouds in the credits, some awesome generation they look so good! this one could be my favourite so far for sure
