Glad to hear you were able to complete one of the achievements. To help you out a bit: the paths are not randomized at any point. Try keeping track of the directions you take that successfully get you to a new area. If you happen to loop back to a checkpoint, you can repeat the same exact steps you previously took and it will get you back to precisely where you were before. Writing it down could help a lot as well.
(Alternatively: you could save at any point you are at, and then load your save file if you happen to take a wrong turn. Hope that helps!)
