I'm really liking what I'm seeing with the newest update, but I'm finding pinging for signals to be horribly slow now. The cooldown time at the start of the game with no upgrades is so large that it in between moving the 3 little pointer thingies, them triangulating the location of the ping, and the fact that this alone takes so long that 70% of the time the signal disappears before I get to that point, it takes a good 5 minutes to actually get the ping, nevermind actually processing the signals.

I'm 100% fine with more and more complicated things to do, I think it makes the game more interesting and engaging, but I hope dev makes the gameplay a bit less gruelling at the start with the next update.

Since you're evidently averse to any critique of this that has to do with AI usage, here's one without it:

Not really sure what you expect from putting this on itch. I mean, basically you're trying to remake NINAH, a game that only recently released, including copying the character designs but effectively taking away any quality that makes the portraits in NINAH scary. I think this would be fine as a personal experiment to do as a game dev in trying to figure out how the game mechanics of that game work or something along those lines, but frankly I see no reason to think this would have enough of an appeal to others to share online as a stand-alone game, much less expect people to essentially beta-test a lower-effort copy of a game they already like with no noticeable transformative aspects to it. In fact this is so unpolished that the text in the game is unreadable in a way I've never seen before in indie games. It's as if you haven't bothered to play the game for yourself before deciding to upload this. And if you don't seem to care enough about the quality of your own game, why should anybody else?

Been playing this a lot for the past few days and I've noticed while playing that every now and then (around 1-3 times per song when it does happen) pressing an assigned "left" key, whether it was A, S, Z, etc. the button press did not register for some reason. The weird thing is I haven't had it happen with the right key even once though. Any idea what could be causing this? There's no lag associated or anything.

This is great!!! Not sure if you have a plan for either of these, but some sort of "favourites" tab would be really nice, as well as possibly displaying the highest percentage of notes hit on the song's selection menu? (I imagine a ranking system would take more work to implement)

wonderfully stylized! definitely pops out amongst other games on here. an interesting way to give both an oneiric and cyberpunk quality to such seemingly important icons of usamerican culture as the gas stops and bass pro shop-esque pyramids.

i do, however, only wish it were possible to have some more interactability options with the environment, even if was just for some sound effects and/or little animations here and there.
