Thanks for playing our game & giving us such good feedback :)

Whoa! I thought my time was good, but I think my lowest was mid-20. Nice!

You are the current highscore holder.

EDIT: Thanks for putting us on your “Piratejam games with amazing potential” list 🧡

That’s a good time! Best I’ve seen so far is 20.97

Glad you like the graphics, will pass that onto scribe :)

Hmm I researched that and the screen shook but didn’t see the boss. I’ll try again later!

Interesting concept! Good luck.

<3 the use of puppets for the game. Others have done this before, but it’s rare and it’s always great to see it being done. Looks excellent.

I love the art and overall look-and-feel :)

Nice little game :)

It wasn’t obvious to me at first that the fries in the middle could move, and then I saw the “WASD” on-screen and suddenly it was a lot easier to stay alive! XD

Nice tunes :)

Fun game :)

One suggestion for future improvement, would be to show some visual progress when spreading, so you see it spread on thinly at first, then more and more until the final jam-covered slice. I was a little unsure if I was doing it properly at first due to the lack of visual feedback (other than the knife sliding over the toast).

This could become an odd little niche simulator game on Steam, if you decided to take it that far :P I’d probably wishlist it, too.

This was an interesting game.

I liked how it seemed like you had to catch the void when it was smaller for an easier fight? The larger ones seemed to have more enemies. That’s a nice touch.

Not sure if there’s an ending in this version, but I died so many times anyway… glad for the unlimited respawns :P

Thanks for the feedback, and for sharing your time :)

Thank you for the feedback! Scribe and Jax did a great job with the art and music 😁

21.77 is an excellent time!

Animated water is a good call, thanks for that suggestion 😁

We appreciate the detailed feedback as well & good job on your time!

Nice one! You are one of the lowest (best times) I’ve seen so far.

OK yep it works for me now. Odd.

I always thought game jams were 24-48 hours. I think Ludum Dare was my first knowledge of them existing, about 10+ years ago.

This jam was the first time I’ve heard of a game jam lasting 2 weeks, so it actually felt achievable to enter. Since then I’ve discovered that many of them have longer timeframes like this.

This is the first game jam I’ve participated in. It’s also the first game I’ve ever made and released publicly! The other two people in our team were in a similar situation, it’s their first jam as well.

Hi, your game doesn’t work. You need to tick the ‘SharedArrayBuffer’ checkbox when editing your game page here on ItchIO. I had the same issue.
