oh, that makes sense. so is it intended to provide more meaningful ways to dodge attacks aside from “move out of its range”? that’s a really cool idea, i’ll have to replay the mini-realm and use that.

hi, i just played through this mini-realm. it’s exceptionally well written in terms of atmosphere and gameplay. but one thing i just couldn’t understand was the attack pattern mechanic. it may have been that you didn’t have the space for a full explanation (which is understandable), but i honestly hadn’t a clue what you intended the mechanic to play like. other than that (which it seemed to work well without) it was an excellent use of a half-hour. this knight of catarina commends you :)
i’m not gonna lie, this is one of the best realms i’ve played. the atmosphere and worldbuilding is impressive for a one-shot (or possibly two-shot, considering orne’s connection with afara) and you did an excellent job of capturing the soulsborne feeling of “there’s deep lore and we aren’t gonna explain any of it”. the mysterious maid gave some crazy “deltarune secret boss” energy and genuinely creeped me out a little. all in all, excellent job. i look forward to any expansion past the two realms you’ve already got out :)
