Thankyou!

Awesome game, the levels are all really unique, creative and just the right difficulty level. The art is brilliant, especially with the crt effect in pico 8, going to have to figure out how on earth you did that. And the mystery fourth wall vibes left me wanting more, great job.

Cute, silly concept with some funny ideas. Only thing Id maybe like to see could be the later buttons being more efficient to give more of a gameplay reason to use them outside of trying them out. Either way, nice job, very creative.

Not sure what I expected from a game called Fish Train in Space but it wasn't that, and maybe that's on me. Either way, it's a fun game that finds a neat balance between being silly and introspective, nice job.

Didn't really get it at first but when you get into those later rounds it becomes very fun. It's a simple idea executed very well with satisfying visuals, audio and gameplay.

Great game with nice art too, feels like the kind of game I could see myself booting up whenever I have a few mins spare.

Fun game with a nice message and cute art style, good job!

Fun game with a cool art style, would love to see more enemy or level variety to bump up the length and difficult but I get that's not always realistic in a game jam. Good job!

I really enjoyed this, super impressive in Pico 8. The particle and sound effects are great too.

Great game with really cute art. The way each level builds on the last especially with the last couple was well done. What's up with the frog though?

Great game, definitely difficult to start but I could feel myself getting used to it towards the end, I feel like it would work  really well in a fully fleshed out game. Other than that, those character animations and itch.io page presentation are top notch.

Great game, would love to see more of the rogue-like elements take a bigger role with the fields etc. in the future. The core gameplay loop is unique and fun.

Thankyou! Glad you liked it. I think that cloud breaking idea is really good.

I hesitate to post png cartridge version here, dont want to risk breaking rules of updating the game during the voting period.

Having said that I've also uploaded to the lexaloffle website under the Jam section so you should be able to find the png download there if you'd like to.

Thanks, I think you're right about the movement, It def need some polishing. Thankyou for kind words about artwork.

Thanks! Yea i was planning on adding more obatacle but ran out of time unfortunately. That's a good idea with the clouds slowing you down too.

Fun game, kinda hard but felt very clean and polished like other comments have said, plus runs well in browser on mobile.

Thankyou!

Haha, im glad you enjoyed it. I may tweak the difficulty a bit after the voting period, we will see.

Anyway, thanks for playing and commenting!

A very interesting game that has clearly come from a very personal place, I respect it a lot. I really like how the gameplay feels connected to the emotional story of the game, it really makes that final point hit home in a way that I dont think would work if it had been in another form of media. Great work.

fun little Pico 8 game, the art is super cute and the atmosphere works really well. Took a little time playing and reading comments to figure out how to play so yea maybe a short tutorial even if its just a block of text. Im still not sure what the money was for?

I still really liked it though, like I said the art is on point and I resonate with the renewable power themes.

Nice game, trying to get the time limits was a nice way to recontextualise the levels. Definitely a difficult spike on that last level though.

Also the very cool banner art animation on the itch page didn’t go unnoticed.

Great game, each planet is visually unique and the gameplay is fun. Struggled a bit at first but when I started to interact more with the space mechanics and play it as a flight shooter / bullet hell game it became way more fun. Good job!

Thankyou! I think the depth of field and angled view really do push it towards those toy vibes. I'm glad you liked it

Haha yea, I wasnt sure what to do because them being steering was annoying when driving backwards with the fixed camera perspective. I wasn't 100% with how I ended up doing it but didn't really have time to figure something else out. Thanks for playing regardless!

Haha, tbh theres a skip you can do near the start if you jump from the big platform to the first spring, i imagine our times were similar outside of that.

We should get a little leaderboard going.

(by first level I assumed you meant tutorial? or did you mean first proper level?)

Fun little momentum platformer, the movement is very satisfying and the penguin art and shaders for the ice and gravity boxes are neat too. I think the momentum thing is a really cool idea although I did also resort to spam clicking because of audio latency on my end. Overall a great game.

Super cool  and endearing idea but very difficult. Once you get over that initial difficulty (and very laggy menu) the learning curve becomes incredibly satisfying. Nice visuals and audio too. Took me longer than I'm prepared to admit to get a semi-clean run of the race mode.

Overall its a great premise executed very well, one of the best jam games I've played so far and definitely worth a try.

Cute concept, although I didn't feel like I had much control of the goose/where the penguins went when they interacted.

The art style and sound are good though, and definitely fit the serious theme, nice game.

Game seemed fun and a very creative concept but I struggled to figure out the rules, think a tutorial would definitely help. I didn't realise at first that you could scroll left to right so couldn't find the initial gear and I'm still not sure how the bonus gears/collect space work?

Overall I reckon the game has potential and with better tutorialization could be a solid incremental (?) game.

Fun game, I have a tuxedo cat that I'm sure would do the same if given the chance!

The light puzzle elements were fun and the twist was a cool way to change up the level. I did notice what I believe was a visual glitch (?) where some of the objects didn't fall after restarting. Unless that was intentional? Either way nice game and cute art.

Fun game, the random angle changes keep you on your toes.

Fun game, like others I didn’t realise the lighter parts were when I needed to hit.

Loved the pause menu, very satisfying.

I think you might be right, thanks for the feedback!

Very overwhelming but still fun, managing all the spinning is engaging enough to completely change the vibes of a tower defence game in a good way.

Also just a heads up the f1 to restart at the end wouldn’t work for me.

That was a fun little game, if not a little easy. I only found the hiding mechanic when looking through the code afterwards, would’ve been really cool if that had been a little clearer/needed because of harder difficulty.

Was fun overall with a cute art style.

ps. Feel free to message me and I can export exe and html for you if you'd like

A funny silly little game, the yoyo movement mechanic was fun too! I do think the walk speed could do with being a little faster especially with the run back at the end although that's a very minor problem.

Thanks!

Yea I wanted to improve the controls a bit, think it feels weird because the game gets the angle to drive from the camera itself which moves independently of the player

Thankyou!
