I started playing Ironsworn a few days ago because I couldn't decide if I wanted to play a game or write. I turned towards finding a new solo RPG to play since that would enable me to do both, and this has easily become my favorite I've played to date. There's enough rules that I really feel that I'm playing a game, but enough freedom baked in that I never feel restricted in my creativity.
It also happened to create the perfect setting for a character that I made years ago but would otherwise never have the chance to play at a table, so I wanted to let you know how thankful I am about that!
At present I don't have the funds to purchase the Delve expansion, but it's definitely a goal in the future. :) I really appreciate that the base game is free for those of us with monetary struggles. Keep up the wonderful work with games!
Absolutely obsessed with this!! The characterization of everyone is so clear and personal, and I truly feel like I'm in this world. Genuinely cannot wait to see what the future holds- The main character in particular has so much depth already. Hoping you have a good year, thank you for your work so far!
