I'm trying random games that have a nice illustrated cover art and yours is awesome! I loved the pixel art inside the game as well, simple but very effective in creating the right atmosphere, such a sad story! Coincidentally the gameplay is similar to our game, even if the story and vibe are completely different :)

Hi! I'm the artist of this game if you want to rate it: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313288 :) Thank you in advance!
Artist here, thank you so much! The small guy seems to have become a fan favorite :D I imagined him as a hamster monster and called him Mr. Ham, but now everyone calls him a bear, so I guess he has become Mr. Ham-bear? ahah
Thank you for the feedback, we wanted to add so much (like a tutorial at the beginning) but there was no time left. The fact that some guests ignore you and go to their seats is intentional! Some are young and impatient, and fire monsters are too hotheaded ;D
Artist here, thank you so much for your review! Fun fact: the monster you like was born from a watercolor splash XD I needed inspiration to make all those different characters, so I splashed some color on a page and tried to find shapes that made sense. He was the first one I made and my partner instantly fell in love with him. I thought of him as a monster hamster, and called him Mr. Ham, but now that you mention it I see the resemblance with a bear! OoO
Here's the first sketch :D

Hi, I'm doing the same and rating as many games as I can today :) Here is mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313288
Thank you in advance! :)
I was looking for other people who made original art for their games and yours is truly amazing! It immediately caught my eye and then the game was so interesting to play. So cool that you started with a cozy puzzle out of pressed flowers, one of my favorite things, and then ended it in such a dark way! Very unexpected plot twist :)
I was looking for games with nice art and yours was amazing! Loved the colors, the music, it looks very professional. Wasn't super clear how I had to play or how long it would go on before I had to repay the debt, but it was fun. It reminded me of Dispatch which was also a big inspiration for our game :) Would have been more challenging if I could manage multiple missions at a time, but I know how hard it is to make a polished game in such a short time!
I was looking for games with nice original art and yours caught my eye, I really loved the atmosphere and the concept. The mechanic was so cool, I would have loved even more hidden messages to tell me something about the story of this girl or the building she is exploring. Congrats on your first jam! :D
I was looking for games with original art like ours and yours looks awesome. I loved the atmosphere, the lighting, the beautiful sky and the sounds you chose (the dialogue sound was so nice). My partner had to help me with the hardest jumps (I'm the worst at platform games) but we finished it with no issues :) It's so cool you made it all by yourself!
Sorry if I get sappy, but I wanted to commemorate this moment with a small post (now that I'm not sleep deprived and can think straight).
My boyfriend and I started making small games for game jams when we were just out of highschool, our last one was more than 10 years ago. It's one of the ways we connected and learned to work as a team, we probably had some of our first fights as a couple over some pixel art drawing and how many features we could implement in a 48h contest.
Now we are in our early 30s, both with a career in creative fields, but always using our skills for companies and other people's projects. Two weeks ago we saw a video talking about this jam and we got so nostalgic for those sleepless nights making games for ourselves. That is why we decided to participate and I'm so glad we did! We still had to work our regular jobs during the day, but we spent every other minute on this project.
We've sadly discovered we do not have the same stamina we once had (we are old), but we can reignite our creative spark in no time. We probably included 80% of the things we wanted to implement but it doesn't matter, we are so proud for finishing it!
You can find it here: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313288
My partner used Godot to build it, he had never tried it and was curious to discover a new game engine, but he didn't know we couldn't export it to web when using C# scripts so you have to download it to play! Sorry :(
I made all the art myself from scratch, I usually draw as a hobby but never this much, my ipad almost combusted.
I would love to try other games with original art, leave the link if you want me to rate it :)
