Thank you for checking out our game! I'm happy to hear you had fun, we're pretty fond of the hand reading feature ourselves haha

Hi! We're Common Creations, the team responsible for Dziady and we'd like to make a small anouncement.

As it turns out, we misunderstood how the "nsfw" tag is used on itch.io. We thought it applied to us since our game contains some gore and mentions of suicide, but after some digging we concluded that it doesn't seem to be the case. We'd also like to make it clear that our game does not contain any sexually explicit content, in case someone wanted to check it out but was turned off by the "nsfw" tag.

On another note - we really appreciate all the feedback we're getting, both from people who find the game too difficult and from those who appreciate the challenge. We already have a hint system figured out that we hope to implement once the voting stage is over. If you like the premise but struggle with the gameplay we'd be delighted if you considered giving it another try by then!

Thank you for reading!

My God, I am in love with this game. I am a huge sucker for card games and love mystique aesthetic, so this game scratches just the right itch in my brain. The art style, while simple and sketchy, manages to create such a perfect, atmospheric vibe that I honestly wouldn't want anything to change if you chose to continue this project after the jam. The gameplay feels intuitive and pretty well balanced, I managed to get to day 11 on my first playthrough before running out of money. The idea of paying rent to time itself is pretty amusing and really fits the tone of the game. I also like how you implemented the reverse card meanings, very elegant.

Gameplay and art style alone would have been enough to get me hooked, but the game gets truly elevated by the character writing. I love every single one that I've met, my favorites probably being the Traveler, Luna and Logic. The way they speak, their philosophical dilemas and the thought-provoking answers the player can give to each of their questions are truly stellar writing.

I love this game and I'll definitely be coming back to it!

Thank you so much for such a detailed, thought out comment, this means a lot to us! We were all so excited when we saw it yesterday, to see that someone had noticed all the little details we put in the game <333

As the person who wrote the guidebook I especially want to thank you for appreciating the poetry and the difficulty of the game. Your comment appeared just when I was feeling  a little down, thinking no one might actually complete our game because it turned out too hard. Thank you for not getting discouraged and sticking with it 'till full completion <33

Thank you for checking out our game! Turns out it is harder than we intended haha. We're already working on making it a bit more accessible. We appreciate the feedback!

Dziady🔥

A really neat idea. I would love to play an expanded, more polished version of this game someday. Love the scientific explanations behind the big mystery!

Great game! A bit confusing at first but once I figured out I can move around it went smoothly haha.

I really like the premise, I think a lot can be done with it. Controls are a bit clunky but overall I find the game quite charming! I feel like it would benefit from some more story elements, to feed players' curiosity and keep them hooked.

A simple, short and very sweet game with an endearing premise, beautiful art and charming animatoins <3
