Yes! And you're correct that the cryptex is used to both generate and sync the players seed. The first part generates the seed and the secound one ensures that the two players are in sync 😊

Good catch - there are some random seeds that makes that specific level uncompleteable.
You can get a new seed by returning and replaying the first level (the cryptex) again 😊
