They haven't posted an update. Until they post an update or I hear from them from me reaching out I'm not going to risk it.

I'm hoping so as well! I'm definitely keeping tabs on things, and looking into alternative sites should itch be unable to find some way to let games back on for sale.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, I hope you enjoy the next game just as much~

We will see what happens in the future. There is a lot to putting a game up on steam and being successful there, and I am also working solo with a lot of things to tackle.

I'm flattered that so many people think its worthy of a steam release. Perhaps one day!

Likely not, unless something substantive happens. If it ever one day gets remade in a medium that steam would accept, I'd of course continue to go above and beyond by making sure every single person that bought it here also got a free key there.

I will definitely be far less lenient about timescales if I can find a replacement.

The WIP one? I was trying to hold out for art, but the artist is pretty hardcore on making sure I just never get what I paid for - so likely Wednesday.

It should work, I haven't had anyone else reporting the problem so its probably something that is able to be fixed. Just to be clear, when you press save you don't need to/are not expected to make a folder, instead you input the name the save should have. It won't be a .sav, since this isn't rpgmaker or the like, instead it'll be a .glksave - and it might not be in the same folder (it defaults to strange places, sometimes). Make sure you are saving in the directory you think you are, and that you are only inputting a name for the save and not making new folders and stuff in that windows explorer UI that pops up.

Hey, I wanted to follow up and see if you ever figured out what was going on?

I'm not really sure then - do you mind joining the discord server so you can show some screenshots of what is happening?

Are you on Windows?

To state: What should happen is it should open a window where you can save your game - you have to name your save after selecting your folder and then hit save.

Can you tell me what is happening when you press save?

I had put it in the Discord's subscribestar channel, but I didn't make a post about it - I appreciate you reminding me (should be noted, I've reminded people several times to redeem keys if they are Subscribers!).

I'll make a post there involving a version that has some extra goodies included that still need some testing.

There should be an option to save in the bottom menu that shows Save || Restore Save/Load - side by side. Is that option not working for you?

More than happy to try to work with someone to make a translation happen!

Thanks~

I'm excited for that too!

Glad you enjoy! ^.^

Indeed!

I quite appreciate it, I've certainly got hopes for the artist finishing the art I've paid for them and continuing to at least get the defeat scenes for the enemies out.

Very glad you like the game over all though! ^.^ I certainly have other projects as well, though I have no idea how long it'll be before they move to itch.

Artist is slow, sometimes unresponsive. There isn't really anything I can do on my end, and I can't afford a different artist.

Have done so rather frequently.

Correct. Just waiting on art, presently. I am not really sure what to do to speed up this end of things, as the artist has been paid in advance and has delivered on at least some things that were bought.

Thank you~ It means quite a lot to hear you say that~ <3

Indeed, a bit more at least. I already paid for some more art to be made, am just waiting on the artist.

Join the Discord, I have posted more announcements there. That said, been silent for about the past few weeks because of helene.

Yeah, gargoyle isgoing to work better than mobile apps anyhow.

To be clear, there should be instructions that link to https://github.com/garglk/garglk/releases and prompt you to download it. Then you open the program, select the .gblorb file from NIP, called NIP.gblorb, and then open it through Gargoyle. There isn't anything in any of these files or programs called 'icy cave' that you then need to also download.

You shouldn't need to download anything called that. Are you sure you followed the instructions correctly as far as how to get it working?

I'll perhaps change it back later then, most people seem to enjoy the larger enemy images and more focus on what you are battling itself.

As you develop in your comment; it would go from one static image to three, and then to a potentially infinite number. The artwork I'm getting isn't free - and I'd rather focus on 'actiony' stuff that draws attention first and foremost!

I'm not sure if Gargoyle runs on android, and the other interpreter I know for it doesn't display images if I recall.

Yeah, just small bugfixes - didn't want to make a new post for each one since I had only made the normal post like 10 or so hours prior.

As for the code import, do you mean the old method I said I had to abandon because it wasn't working or the 'hardsave' method that makes a file? The file one should work, though the code one is completely broken and doesn't save variables correctly for some reason.

Yup, though just as an update I'm having some trouble getting the new save system to work for the demo release - so unfortunately folks might be stuck with just getting cheat-codes for clearing the demo until I can work it out properly.

With the code it skips those, with the new system you'll be able to keep them.

Its a code that let's you skip the first half of the game, so that you don't have to replay it again.

However, I'm close to releasing a version that has this feature built in (due to Inform wonkiness, 'saves' aren't actually a real thing in the traditional sense. Instead I had to code an entire save function myself from scratch). This will allow you to save progress, and for older versions without the feature - will temporarily feature a passcode that kind of almost works (at least enough to port older versions to the new version).

As for the post-grapple victory scenes, there are a few things like that in the full version - though its definitely not every enemy. Not including enemies that can be found in the first half of the game there are three, including them - its five.

I could probably do that (though the UI would be absolutely clustered and bloated as a result), though that would likely come when there is more artwork.

If you are referring to the cyber-dog, it only has three grapple stages. It should repeat the final stage until you break free or lose the fight!

I appreciate the report,  however! ^.^

There has been a Discord for a very long time now, the link to which can be found in the game in the about section and in previous update posts here! Please let me know if it isn't working.
