I like how REC is shaping up. Been itching for another game like Night Adventure.

Some bugs/oversights I've found:

  • When you get the Poor Lad effect from not paying rent, the effect will persist in the stats menu throughout all save files until you quit out the game entirely, at which point it will just poof for all save files. You also can't pay rent while you have Poor Lad active.
  • It seems like if Yuna wakes up during the night, you will lose all the money earned that night. This seems intentional, but the ending screen displays as if you will earned the money.
  • When the night ends, unwiped semen persists into the next night. This also seems to happen to continuous actions that aren't stopped, like headpatting and groping, but only for a few seconds in the next night.

This reworked 0.16 version is quite different from the previous versions. Simply due to content disparity between 0.16 and 0.15.2, its currently hard to call on any particular flaws other than the initial whiplash of the changed system, so I guess I’ll comment about future prospects of the new system.

The new ‘stage select into visual novel into combat’ seems to take a similar direction as Library of Ruina, where each encounter is one stage. Maybe this game will also have split paths that occur concurrently to each other Also it says there’s some kind of gacha system on Trello and I can only presume it refers to a gacha system like Library of Ruina’s, where enemies will drop ‘books’ that can be ‘burnt’ for cards and core tenets.

The new battle system is interesting too, though it feels like the lewd half is mostly dropped? (It doesn’t seem like you can win through pleasure anymore unless I’m just missing it.) Right now it’s the end of Act 1 (equivalent to finishing LoR’s Canard) so I assume the very simple combat will get built upon later on. Enemies get one action while Saria gets two; later on probably each side having more actions. There’s the Heat thing too, but currently has very low impact with the current selection of only Saria’s base deck being mostly 1 Heat while she regenerates 2 Heat (this will likely be remedied once gacha is made). The different combat stances seems to take from Karryn’s Prison, though it has a side effect currently that means you can get RNG oneshot out the gate like some others said.

Overall I think I want to let the Velminth cook a while longer before suggesting any heavy change.

Very cool game, love how it combines lewdity into combat. I do think there is a lot to improve on still, understandably so at v0.15. I'm no game dev so I could be completely off with my opinions.

There's very clear Library of Ruina inspirations. I like that, though the system seems rather half-baked currently. I played the game with mostly just 2 cards in the deck, one to do damage and the other is Energy Reserves. While this is an intentional mechanic, it seems too abusable, too consistent. If the consistency was the intention then alright, but if using more variety of cards is the intent then I feel this is something that could just imitate Library of Ruina's rule; requiring 9 card decks, 3 copies of a card max.

The Dodge and Block cards are very peculiar too. I can't seem to grasp how it works exactly, but I think they only negate one hit if it is under the stack count before losing the entire buff. Sometimes it does seem to negate an additional hit, perhaps when mutiple instances of Dodge/Block are used? Not sure, since it isn't explained when hovering over the status effect. Bleed and Burn similarly aren't explained very well. Both have the same description but isn't said that Bleed will deplete the entire stack while Burn only gets halved. Also Daze, most similar to Paralysis in Library of Ruina, is incredibly broken since it only depletes by 1 stack per turn rather than losing the entire stack. Compounding a bunch of Daze means that a singular enemy or yourself is completely disabled.

I personally didn't use items, but those are also incredibly abusable since other than having a limited amount, can be used indefinitely each turn. Tails is incredibly plentiful and you can buy enmasse of Water Bottles to restore Stamina to full every turn. Throwing Knives, though it is more limtied in supply, could deplete a Dangerous Target's HP to 0 to entirely bypass the challenge. I would suggest limiting their use down to 1 per turn, perhaps even add accessories that can allow multiple items per turn.

Huh, Didn't think I would ever comment about gameplay balance on an NSFW game.
