Simple and fun! Though the ending kept breaking.

Honestly, I ended up being disappointed by this demo. It feels like it hit every cliche that I know expect from Itch demos after playing so many each month. Mainly new guy on the job is asked, "Why'd you come here!" Before being told the place is haunted, someone got murdered, blah blah blah. The dialog at times felt rather dry and stunted, particularly with the janitor in the latter half. Examining objects felt rather pointless if all I was going to be told about the labeled cards on the table was, "playing cards." Or the newspaper, just being told it's an old newspaper is rather strange. Why not tell me what headline says? Literally any substance would be better. As well, what was the point of the zoom? The characters present were bland and easily forgettable, by the time I made it to the end I was not shocked by the reveal because I had forgotten who that man even was. The latter half also just kept throwing new people at you. All of this not even mentioning the cheap scares which all kind of blended together. Lady in dress appears, play the same sting, she vanishes into particles. That's it. Overall, it's like almost every other horror demo about a new job on Itch.
I realized after playing I may have missed some instructions. I love the art direction of this, the look and sounds were great. Clearly though it is a game jam game, the UI and controls could use some work, I got stuck in a void, and found a fuse box that didn't do anything for example. I would like to see what this game would be like with even just a little more development.
I have had some time to think on this game since I streamed it. I am coming around to like it more. It felt like a serious story yet there were elements present that really made me question if I should be viewing this though a satirical light. The blend present was interesting. Any flaws are mostly directed at sound design, as some of it is good while other parts are quite harsh. In the end, I enjoyed the experience overall.
This was one of the most disappointing demos I have ever played. The description made it sound so much more interesting than it actually ended up being. It feels like the dev made a generic horror demo before the idea was finished, and just tacked on the, "You're viewing peoples final moments!" last minute. It's context that can be removed and nothing changes. To start, why is this person recording? What is this house layout and why is it in such a bad shape? The scares are cheap and predictable, this whole demo was essentially a haunted house sim. Walk around until it plays a loud sound. Also the moon walk jump scare was one of the most ridiculous things I have seen in a horror game, it feels like a parody of itself.
Played on stream. Despite my save corrupting, this game was amazing. It looks great, plays great, sounds great, I loved every aspect. I do not quite understand how the monster works though and that is where my save broke. Despite minor quality of life improvements, your team has created a very good horror game that roped me in and legit had me nervous at some points. That is rare to say for horror games since I am not easily made uneasy. Absolute Cinema.
I’ve enjoyed a lot of games like this recent, and this already had some polish to it.
I had paused on the upgrade screen, when I unpaused the upgrade options did not go away and I couldn’t seem to just click on anything to actually upgrade.

I apologize if I was too harsh, I play myself up for the viewers. I like the use of real footage in the beginning, and the man appearing out of nowhere did genuinely surprise me. it was just hard to look past the jank and the sensitivity made it harder to sit through. but i genuinely wished to make it to the end. if this is an active project of yours, I would love to follow along.
