Thanks for your kind words ❤️

Thank you!!! <3

Adorable! I loved it!

Beautiful! I loved how each found thing colored in <3

I mean you can but it's not the windows/Mac application file, it's the html file. Also since it is pixel art, the pixels get a bit wonky if you increase the window size but don't maintain the aspect ratio. It's something I need to work on.

I am happy to report, I made a final cut scene for when you get your promotion!

I didn't see the shop button on my screen, however I am clueless sometimes. ^^;

I like the idea, I got to wave ten before dying. I would have loved to be the one moving the character as well as the flashlight. It would be cool to be moving through a space to make it more dynamic and interesting and you have to survive a set number of waves before moving into the next 'area' and getting the chance to buy the upgrades you mentioned.

I was planning on making that cut scene the last day (they were the last thing to add) but then the jam ended at 7am that day instead of 7pm because I read the time wrong so I ran out of time. It will definatly be in version 2!

I love that you enjoyed the sound effects, it was fun making them. (I think it took 5-7 tries to get the 3 clean takes without giggling!) I want to add some 'vroooooooooommmmmmm' noises for sprinting too because I make them when I play every time!

I am so happy that you enjoyed it! You earned your promotion!

The cat sprite was made by Elthen (and recolored by me), and the workers and the environment were made by  LimeZu. All credit to them for the pretty looks of this game! <3

Thank you! You're a-meow-zing for playing it!

I want to counter that you do have to plan your 'attack' of the office out. I found the best method is to do the far away tasks first and then the closest ones at the end so you don't have to dash nearly as far. I will admit that maybe having a visual cue to how long until something is fixed could help with this. A trick I have found with running from the managers is to hide on the desks, they cant get you if you are on a desk :3

(1 edit)

Overall: A cute story idea and art. Love the mix of game modes.

Pros:

- Easy controls and understanding

- Good music vibes (a bit quiet though)

-  Cute art and leading story

Cons:

- You can escape by running on the wall (top of the screen).
- You dont have to collect items like the instructions note in the description.
- No clear indication that you 'hit' the notes correctly in the guitar hero part.

-Has this error message pop up when you run the game (it runs I think fine though).
[Warning! Found indirection for GM native "string_split" function. Overriding "string_split" degrades load performance."]

Overall: I like the concept of finding good candidates to become knights. I felt like a little detective! I don't know if it hit the theme on the head but it was an interesting take on it. I wish we got more interaction as Excalibur; like if we were speaking to the people.

Pros:
- We were a weapon.
- The scenarios were unique and well themed.
- It was decently easy to figure out where to click.
- I want to play again to do better.

Cons:
- It is hard to play on my smaller screen as I had to continue to scroll up and down to make choices and there was no option to resize the game. (resizing the browser didn't help)
-  The scoring system doesn't make sense, I went through 4 people but got 8 bad decisions and 4 good ones (so I lost).
- I don't get feed back for bad or good choices.

Thank you for your kind suggestions! I didn't think about helping players that don't see the cutscene find their character. Thank you for your kind words <3

Thank you!!

The supervisors just want a clean office, in my mind they don't actually hate the cat.

Thank you!!

Thank you for playing and commenting! You're a-meow-zing!

Thank you! I have to admit that it is difficult for me too. Now that the jam is over I think I may see just how long (and how many day redos) it takes to beat hard mode.

I originally had it that you couldn't redo the days and that is when I had to add difficulty settings because I couldn't win. I listed that mode impossible for a reason  ;-;

Navigation for NPCs have been my sticky point but I am hoping to iron out these bugs by the deadline. ^^; Thank you for your kind words. I hope you get your promotion to Cat-astrophe Manager soon!

Thank you!!! <3

*water glass tips over and spills all over the desk short-circuiting the cubicle blocks.*

I honestly have only beaten the game on easy and medium difficulty. I have only gotten to day 3 on hard and day 2 on impossible. It is a tricky tricky game!

Thank you <3

Awwww thank you!!

Thank you! I have updated my GDD with your suggestion! Thank you for it!

Fixed!! :D

Nicely done! I liked the play of it. I wish the mouse would move more often for the running animations. I also found the pathing a bit confusing for what was a wall and what was a tunnel. All in all, a very enjoyable puzzle. :)

Thank you!

thanks for bringing this to my attention, I will try to fix this bug! :)

I am glad you liked the hook and initial animation, I am so sorry that the game is broken for you though! I am not sure why it is broken like that, I also use chrome to access/play the game but on Windows. I don't see why there is any issue with it being on Mac instead, I honestly don't have any help for you as this is my first game project. I'm sorry :(

Bug lists for this build that I notice

  • Items on the wrong tilemap layer and thus "over" the horse
  • Duplicate trees on the meadow entrance
  • The potion  pot has the wrong animation for the shell
  • Walls are at the wrong level for jumping and collision is shifted
  • Mortal Realm / End Zone doesn't save pony stats from the main level
