Actually, I found someone to help bring out the engine's full potential without the battle feature. And yeah 14 routes including bad, good, true, side paths all that. You can actually see the different dialogues based on the combination of people you follow. I don't really know apocalypse, but I'll try not to spoil you with the story haha.
Hi hi so to answer your questions one by one. The game is not just about dating guys, it's about understanding how this world works by seeing what each of your friends have been through, which just happens to be potential lovers. Which explains why there are currently 14 routes and not all of them are dating.
The reason why I use RPG maker instead of renpy is to give players a unique experience in roaming and interacting with NPCs. Yeah there aren't a lot of options of where you can go because this IS still a visual novel and not an RPG. You have to follow the paths of the story, but at least you can talk and interact with stuff while earning achievements.
The reason why there is no battle system, is because the game takes place in a time of peace where fighting is no longer necessary, as shown in some books in the library. Also because not all powers are used for fighting, such as Marlin who has translating powers.
And don't worry this game ain't just about dating gay boys, it is a hell of a lot darker than that which I will show in the future. Also the main character is neither good or bad, but you don't choose to be either, it's more like seeing through the eyes of different sides of the coin and you decide what is good and bad. That first bug has been fixed on the Patreon version, but may I see the screenshots of where the name is incorrect, I have fixed them but I may have missed out. Also do join my discord as I do share any bug fixes I've done there, and reporting new ones for me to fix will be easier
Ah yeah those bugs have been rectified in the Patreon version, but in the current version you're on just go through the center tile on the way out of the first day, and when you're with shen long, interact with everything until you see a red book then click on that, you'll move on to the next part
Non patrons can see the sfw version in progression, while patrons can see the nsfw version. And you guys can see whenever I make a public report here or on discord.
