Dude it will, please I love this game so much I love the atmosphere, you did something crazy making this in game maker the flashlight is the coolest way to visualize a flashlight, the gun mechanic was so simple. Very fun. Atmos was everything. The realistic human scream was everything it needed to be. You are a talent, lemme know if you make something. I'll fuckin buy it.
I LOVE THE NO CHECKPOINTS HOLY COW, FIVES ACROSS THE BOARD TED. I LOADED THE GAME AND OH MY GOD, IM SO HAPPY THAT THIS GAME WASN'T DOING JUMPSCARED, Thank you so much for that. I love everything about this game holy cow, I need to pick at your mind. THIS IS AWESOMESAUCE. Subsume is such a good name too. YOU MAD ETHIS IN AWEEK, WHAT>>>???
Everything about this game is awesome, The player characters speed, if you speed through the game you just die, if you go slow you will probably win, which helped the tension.
Only real feedback is its hard to tell what is interactable, perhaps if interactable glowed or something when the player was close to them to encourage them to walk around the room. God thank you for playing my game sorry it took me this long to play yours, didn't know it ran in browser. Solid Work. Win please
I made the final one that no one I think has heard initially as a test when devising the concept of the idea in BeepBox. the good old fashioned. The rest I "made" in ableton. I use air quotes because one of them is just a recording of me making noises and doing some crazy shit to it. I guarantee no one has heard it, which I am okay with.
Awesome solid, disturbing experience.
I love the visuals im a stickler for making things be so incredibly crazy that details get washed out in strange ways, but the way you done it feels intentional.
I feel the story is talking about AI and how you cannot save the artist who you fed into a machine learning system, as the sheer act of feeding someone into it is the same as taking them to the meat grinder. Enough people repeat the process and all you have left is an echo chamber of caricatures of an origin long dead and decayed from the oroborous process.
Im sorry if my interpretation of the story is off or is just repeating something obvious, im not great at reading literal text in games. Yours ruled.
Yea it is super easy to get lost, Tried using a narrator set up to lead people around but it ended up being a bit buggy. Were you able to get into the cave at all or find any of the artifacts?
The land physics are super floaty, i've tried to correct it and have made some really funny results, but nothing that felt better unfortunately.
Thank you so much for playing
Really glad you like the fishies and character. Was the audio not playing for you? there are a couple different tracks that play as you move through the scene.
Fixed a couple things in the build including the colour you mentioned (I am colour blind for yellows and greens so sometimes I get them wrong.) Thank you for your comment! Made the character a little faster but yea the experience does run a bit long. Thank you for trying it out
Really neat little experience. There is a point that I am unable to walk past, I think the collider for the player is a little too wide for some points. Really interesting mechanics in this little experience regarding following those simple rules. I appreciate the reset noise not being high pitch either, just a nice note.
This was kind of awesome even though it was short. Reminded my of cry of fear. "Behind You" accompanied by the normal enemy sound was haunting, though the death sound was a bit peaky for headphones, speaker is the way to go when playing this imo (at least for me sensitive ears.) Simplistic level, cool aesthetic, creepy bear creature. Awesome thumbnail. Thanks for the submission :)
I was lulled into a false sense of security. I was then scared, it froze but it was awesome. If you end up patching anything lemme know so I can replay. Loved the vibe. Honestly amazing work. The visual aesthetic is awesome, are you doing a shader on everything or is a render texture thing?
Would love if you tried out the game I submitted with a couple friends but after 24 hours have passed from this message so I have time to fix a bug
