I REALLY enjoyed the atmosphere in this game. It's an absolute nightmare for claustrophobic people and an absolute treat for those wanting to enjoy a new horror experience.

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

The humor in this game is COMEDY GOLD! One of the funniest intros I've seen to an indie horror game in a while. The triple robot scene was so much harder than the boss fight lmao but the game is fun one!

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

To start off, happy birthday Nikita! Thank you so much for gifting us your games for free—that means a lot! Secondly, this game was AMAZING! Really got some Bakemonogatari vibes from this one, and I enjoyed my play through.

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

This is my first game entering the series, and I could not be more impressed! The mood, tension, worldbuilding and voice acting are all SUPERB! Can't wait to play the other games in the series.

Thank you for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

I really enjoyed this horror game. EMIKA_GAMES is always pumping out bangers, as my first introduction to their catalogue was Summer of '58. So I knew I was in for a treat with this new release. The atmosphere in this one was really intense, and I absolutely LOVED the story and how detailed it is. I was looking forward to a new horror game, and this one did NOT disappoint.

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

I really, really enjoyed this game. This demo/ prologue is a great introduction to the full game. A couple things I did note down were: Some audio levels are a tad too loud (kitchen + 2nd bathroom scene). Also, I did think the visitor monster design was a little too Slenderman-esque. Would've loved a different monster model or even a shadow man would do. Other than that, I can't wait for the full release to come!

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

The New Version 1.1 Update is INSANELY FUN!! Really getting into the HIGH STAKES of the 'Double or Nothing' journey and might do a Road to $1 Million Bounty Video soon. Cheers!

Hands down of the best horror games to start of 2024. It's a very well-made horror game that has tense moments, the feeling of a table-top game, and has HUGE potential to have an online multiplayer mode (A lot of ppl in the comments agree). Here's my playthrough of it; I had a blast >:)

Thank you for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

Hands down one of the craziest scares I've ever experienced in a horror game. I love indie games like this, and I can't wait to play more games made by you.

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

This demo is REALLY dope and I especially loved the cinematics and concept of it all. The game got down to the 'shoot-em-up' style, and I'm all for it. I really liked how the inaccuracy of the blaster are as well. However, there were some minor things such as: Lasers going through mobs (no dmg), mobs getting stuck on doors, and just how repetitive it is (since the mobs only spawn at 2 directions).

It'd be cool if there was a type of loot system with health, speed/ armor boosters (aka drugs), and a variety of weapons we can use/ switch to. Sorta like the systems used in The Last of Us, RE, or Dead Space in making the game more immersive and fun. Even changing the speeds of the enemies and them sprinting at us could've been a nice detail.

Overall, a dope concept and hoping this project continues strong! Really appreciated

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

Analog-type horror games are some of my favorite types of games to play. Not only was this game really creepy, but the questions and music added to the eerie atmosphere. Well done

Thank you for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

I didn't think that I'd stumble upon an indie horror game adapting one of the BEST Creepypastas out there. If you're a fan of The Russian Sleep Experiment or wanting to play a new indie horror game, this game is for you.

I really did enjoy the overall pacing of the game and the afterstory of what 'could've been' as a result of the experiment. The VAs did PHENOMENAL here, and the tape recorders + text intros added good flare, creating this atmosphere of seclusion and abandon. The monster reveal and animations really did do the Creepypasta justice as well.

Overall, a 10/10 for me on this game. I really had fun during my playthrough as well.

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

Such a good and comedic game! I found so much enjoyment in the lore of the place and our partner-in-crime on the mic. Some of the jumpscares got me GOOD and the overall pacing of the game is really fluid. Good job!

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

This game was so satisfying to play that I almost forgot I was in a horror game! Seriously tho, the few scares were good and the one towards the end caught me off guard. Can't wait for your next project.

Thanks for the game,

Saves still aren't deleted. Been stuck on the 'Find the phone' part w/ the crawly dude and pathways near the end. Uninstalled and reinstalled the .rar files as well to see if there was a patch but still stuck

For a game originally made for a school project, this one goes HARD! I really enjoyed this game, especially with its ultra-realistic graphics, audio, and setting. Going through the abandoned house, I wanted to know more about the place, the people who lived there, and the lore behind its abandonment as well. Nevertheless, well done!

Thanks for the game,

I honestly really liked the game and the story behind it was dope af. Reminds me of those horror stories on r/nosleep about people being blackmailed online and forced to do dark things.

I feel as if the ending wasn't the strongest execution when it came to the overall tone and atmosphere of the game. However, for Scream Jam 2023, you had one of the best game developed in the timeframe allowed. Overall, a dope game.

Thanks for the game,

-Kuya Sunset

This game introduced me to the Fears to Fathom series, and I'm glad to be covering it this time around! Definitely one of my favorites because the atmosphere is so intense in this game.

Thanks for the game,

-Kuya Sunset

Another thrill-ride of a game! The scares were phenomenal and the overall atmosphere and slice-of-life was eye catching and downright terrifying. So glad to be playing through this series, and I can't wait to play the last installment hopefully soon.

Thanks for the game,

-Kuya Sunset

A really well done game! This was a great way to introduce people to the Japanese Urban Legend of Teke Teke. Managed to get BOTH endings and had a hell of a time. Story was good and the dialogue + atmosphere were superb.

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

After the Witch of Sherdorne Forest, I knew I had to play more games by this developer and this one didn't disappoint! Really liked this game, and I'm SUPER hyped to see what game comes out next by this developer.

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

The scares in this one are BRUTAL. Glad to cover this game for my 31 Days of Horror Games series and looking forward to playing your other game The Crypt Terror

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

Dope little indie horror to include in my 31 Days of Horror Games series for Halloween. Could've added a few more scares or jumpscares but the slice-of-life parts of it were fun.

Thanks for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

Went for all 3 endings and got them. This game is so sad and wholesome that I nearly cried my heart out on the first ending. The art, the environment, the soundtrack, etc. made the game feel so natural and relatable. One of my favorite games yet on this site.

The Demo wasn't bad, but it also wasn't too scary either. This game has a lot of potential but needs a little more work based on the demo.

A couple notes I took down: An item indicator or highlight would be ideal in this scenario. Inventory scrolling and right-click item usage seems a little too much work and clunky. Maybe a new inventory system with easier selection or holding an item (for ex. a key) and having it be "auto-used" on the nearby door/ lock will make this user-friendly for players. For items that cannont be used, maybe a line of dialogue like "I can't use this here" would help, too. I've scrolled down the comment section and others can agree that the inventory can be hard to use.

The demo seemed more like a 'puzzle simulator' rather than a bodycam horror game, that i completely forgot the game had a doll in it based on its trailer. when I got to the doll part, it didn't add much to the overall experience since the demo was mostly puzzles and the doll (aka the 'monster reveal') didn't appear til the last 1-2 minutes of gameplay. Demos need to be able to flush out a little exposition for the full story or hype up the game. The Demo kind of did neither. It's to a point where some of the comments had people 'stop' or 'give up' since gameplay difficulty was a little too high/ not user-friendly. Overall, I believe the game needs a little less puzzle and more scare to hype up its full release for the future. A Demo Version 2 or 2nd part, and peoples' responses to that, can probably dictate whether or not a full release of this game is ready.

Definitely wouldn't rush the development if I were you—the monster design, environment and graphics are wonderful. I believe this game has HUGE potential—it just needs more work to bring it to life.

Thank you for the game,

- Kuya Sunset

I definitely love the atmosphere of this game! I admire games that usually have some sort of loop-psychological horror scenario and things get different and scarier with ever repetition. Really enjoyed this one; thanks for sharing your game!

Never have I ever thought there'd be a horror game about instant noodles but I'll take it! It was a really fun and quirky game for me, and I managed to get all 3 of the Endings! Thanks for the game :))

- Kuya Sunset

The perfect game to play on Friday the 13th and for my '31 Days of Horror Games' Challenge for Halloween. The atmosphere, the art style, and the game is a masterpiece. 10/10 game, and I cannot wait for the update this end of the year. Cheers!

For your 1st game published, very well done! I really enjoyed the experience, especially some of the frights and jumpscares.

A few notes: I feel like the volume of the music from the turn table can be adjusted to be a tad louder. Hell, it can even echo throughout the hallway and rooms to give a more dramatic and horror-inducing effect. Some of the shadows we first meet in the rooms go away a little too fast. They can linger for a couple seconds more (with some sound effects to accompany it). I like the idea of the chase scene and the almost-endless feeling hallway. I wish that we didn't see the model pause if we failed the chase scene, and we restarted the level right before the TV throw so we can have the shadow man chase us coming from out of the room. Other than that, again, very well done for your 1st game published!

One of my favorite things about this game is the monster design. Hands down a creative one. However, the beginning of the game (and other night scenes) was WAY too dark and needed tweaking. I suggest adding a brightness slider in the 'Settings' menu so we can adjust accordingly. Took me forever to find the deer when I got the dialogue (which was on top of the hill so I was thinking it was near the lake/ waterfront but it was the direction of the car).

Some text does stack up during the meat scene, too. On a good note, I did enjoy the chase sequence. The only thing I'd like is better environment accessibility. It's a little confusing since you can't run up/ down some hills and only go through the wooden path, even outside the chase sequence. Other than that, well done.

I'm having a real fun time playing through your catalogue of games lately and stumbled upon this one! Really enjoyed this game, and I'm starting to see your progress in game development compared to Holiday After Special.

Well done with this one, and I just saw that there are a couple of instances/ programs I missed in my playthrough so might run it back one more time to get them. Can't wait to check out No Delivery next :)

What a wholesome and wonderful game. Being able to learn about another culture's celebration and urban legends is always good knowledge to have, especially as a horror junkie. I thought the art style and color palette was wonderful and the SFX + writing too. I feel like some scenes could have somewhat more music to tie in more pathos and evoke emotion. But overall, I enjoyed this game.

I'm not gonna lie, the first jumpscare was really well done and I haven't screamed like that in a LONG time!

Props to you for creating a short and concise horror game in 2 weeks, especially at your age!

A couple things I took note of: The tension and atmosphere in the beginning was amazing, however, it did fall short during the middle and end. Also, the monster towards the end was dope on the ceiling with the chains dangling (seeing it from a distance), but up close, it was sorta meh with the animations and reveal. There are ways to work around this.

In-your-face, jumpscare horror is good, but I think for me, there's a lot to work with slow, psychological horror such as: Muted/ ambience SFX, monsters appearing from the corner of one's eye and suddenly vanishing, and a combination of various sound effects and a good OTS/ scoring (For ex. hearing whispering sounds in your ear as if someone is behind you, but when a player turns, nothing is there and no jumpscare).

Some game examples I've found fond of that do this are: Welcome to Kowloon, The Summer of '58 (a good combo of world building + jumpscares, albeit a little slow), and the Fears to Fathom series. A decent line-up for some game study/ theory.

After a few notes, I wanna end this on a good-note: You're amazing and I definitely see the talent with your game-development. A HUGE congrats for a game completed in 2-weeks, and I'm glad to cover it. Keep working hard to develop your craft (no pun intended lol).

After finishing up The Windows Are Gone, I had to try this one out. The atmosphere is so intense and the sound design is amazing. Honestly, I'd play a longer, two-hour version of this game if I could—the lore is amazing with this one. Well done!

One of the best indie psychological horror games I've ever played. Honestly,  the production is really top-notch and some of the cinematography work really made it feel like a movie. With some talented voice-actors, I feel like this game could be taken to another level. However, I'm really satisfied with the result and it's a masterpiece of a game. Very well done.

This game is AMAZING. The concept itself is simple but the storytelling is great!

Really well done. I am looking forward to more games made by this developer!

One of the better Demos Indie Horror games I've played on this site! Gave me some Outlast vibes, too. There were a few language errors when it came to dialogue and subtitles not matching up.

Well done! Here's my playthrough of the game:

Some critique:

The battery collecting seemed a little insignificant for the demo but looking forward to its use in the full game (hopefully not a chore).

Also, I cracked the upstairs puzzle combination box, left without getting the key, and came back to read the paper and couldn't, freezing the game (timestamp: 10:03). Might be a glitch in the paper/ key item interaction. Wasn't major, but I did have to restart because of it.

I actually really enjoyed this game. Short, simple and fun! Felt like the well scene could've had more sustenance since it seemed empty, especially with the title being the main focus for the game. Other than that, the good and secret ending made it worth it for the replayability aspect. Well done!

A great horror game that gave me the nostalgic, retro vibes. I'm not gonna lie, I had to go through the game a 2nd time to find that flashlight lmao. Other than that, I enjoyed the atmosphere. The scares weren't over the top, but I wouldn't have minded a jumpscare or too!

Definitely a nice, short horror game. Would like to see a prequel that's lore-heavy on the origin story of the monsters. Also, an added touch would be adding some of those 'missing posters' alongside the trail/ in the 2nd game. Other than that, I enjoyed the experience!
