Ah, thanks for finding the bug. I’m not sure if we’re allowed to push updates so I’ll just have to let it ride for now. I’m glad you enjoyed the atmosphere since that and the sound were the things I wanted to focus on the most during this jam. :)

Nice job. I’m not sure if it was just a web build issue, but I had a few sound issues with crackling, and/or sounds not playing. I got busted by the guard because even though he stops animating during dialog, seems he still is moving in the background. Just minor stuff really though. Good job over all. I like the look of the game. Good luck in the jam. :)
Wow, I came to give you feedback but I don’t have. a lot to offer. Your artist really cooked on this. I’m blown away that your character has 8 directions of animated movement. This is a TON of art.
Other than that, I think I had some of the same control issues that some others mentioned and that could be tightened up a bit. Otherwise? Loved it. Fantastic work.
The jumping to your skeleton mechanic was really neat once I got used to it.
I’m glad to see you made a cat game and included a pet button. A necessity.
Highly recommend the download version to anyone playing this, at least on my screen the web version is very small and hard to read.
Overall very good stuff. I think I would have liked a little more tutorial on the mechanics as you unvail them, but good job and good luck.
Starting your game now and it instantly reminds me of Marble Madness. :D (I’m old)
- I was stuck in this room with the green floor a bit before I realized there is a double jump.
- Thank you for making a checkpoint system.
- The double jump is feeling a little inconsistent. Sometimes it doesn’t trigger and it’s unclear why, and sometimes the height of the second jump is big and sometimes very small
- I like the look of the star and the light it emits.
Cool game! I did have to give up eventually on this room: https://img.itch.zone/aW1hZ2UvNDQzNjU2OS8yNjQzNTM3MS5wbmc=/original/%2BSg2xX.png because of the double jump not working right for me.
Good luck with the jam!
Playing this now. I’m loving the style, and the old computer sounds.
I dig the concept of only having one shot, and the aim feel pretty good so I don’t mind it. If you’re decent at FPS game, this doesn’t feel too overwhelming. I did get hit in the back a few times by things I didn’t know were there. Maybe the enemies could make a sound as they move around.
I like your upgrade system, there is a lot here for a jam game and you should be proud! Good work and good luck.
Playing this now, I’ll just write as I play.
The mini games at the start were a little confusing? Maybe I didn’t understand what they were trying to convey.
I’m in the 3D exploration part of this now and I love the look with the dithered shadows. It looks really nice.
Some of these distortion effects are making me feel a little dizzy.
I got to the 4th floor and fell off. :D I’ll have to stop here for time sadly.
You got something pretty unique here so far and I hope you keep going with it. Good luck.
Congrats on your entry. This was a unique and clever idea. I think maybe the controls for the beam movement could be reworked a little bit to make it a little smoother to control. Maybe experiment with moving the beams with the arrows and moving the character with WASD? Just an idea. Good work though, and good luck
Great job. Taking an old concept and adding cats is always a win for me and your kitty pixel art was nice. Congrats on a solo entry which I know is hard!
This all worked well for me and I only noticed a few small bugs
- If there are two items nearby, sometimes I pushed the one I didn’t want to.
- Noticed a small bug where textures on the map would change when something fell into a hole
- The collision on placing the cat maybe needs a tweak. It’s possible for the entire cat to be be in one box, but the placement still ends up in the square below it.
Congrats on your submission and good luck!
Nice job. These sort of games with a moving quota target are very popular right now. I like the little attentions to detail like the little guy patching up the wall after the delivery.
One thing I struggled with was the tutorial appeared in the corner and moved pretty quick so I didn’t 100% know what I was doing at the start.
Great work to your team and good luck. :)
