What a way to write a comment. So dramatic, haha...
It's good to see that you're still writing on your website; I had forgotten the name of it. :)
I hope life has been treating you well. Have a nice year. Peace!
Hi there! Thank you for the comment. It's great to know that you're still excited the schlo project! I wish I had gotten more interested in continuing to update the website when it was still easier to access, but...we'll see what will come of it. Thanks for continuing to check it out.
The pictures were uncolored in chapter 4 as a stylistic choice, yes. I thought it was fitting for that point in the story. I also just like the simplicity of black-and-white drawings. I always spend too long coloring the pictures, so leaving a portion of them uncolored was helpful keeping down production time a little.
The storyline for Schlo is mostly prewritten, as I started working on the story long before starting to make the games you can see on here. I don't exactly have an answer for a concrete ending at this time, but I have some ideas of events leading up to an end of sorts.
As for my thoughts on my previous works, I think I've done some things that are truly interesting, in terms of the concepts. The releases I've done in the past year or so (I'm thinking starting from "schlo room explorer") have been very stylish, in my opinion. But I also thought the artwork from schlo complications was pretty good when I was making it, and it's kind of embarrassing to look at now. I think there's a way to make things still "appealing" and also a little bad, so I'm trying to keep a bit of the unskilled qualities alive in my artwork, even if I'm getting better in my drawing style. Like, in this new release, there are a couple of pictures that I think look bad, but they're, like, funny, so it's okay.
It's no problem to ask questions on here! It was like I got to do a mini-interview, which is fun. Thank you for curiosity. :)
Thank you for checking out my project. I'm glad to hear you found it interesting, even if it required a lot of clicks! :)
Thank you for the suggestion about the controls: I found that while reading through, the enter or spacebar key work similar to how the arrow keys would after you've clicked the button once. I will keep in mind adding an arrow key navigation system in the future. Take care~!
Hi there! Thank you for your continued interest in the Schlo project. This is an interesting question: I've had to think about how to answer...You're always welcome to leave me a comment on here. I actually don't have any other ways of contact at the moment...
All of the schlo projects are related, though schlo checkers and schlo pink and purple were speculative and most likely didn't really happen. The events in Schlo: Final Stand happen about two years after the events in this most recent project, schlo: confession. They're all from the same timeline! I am planning on covering the Schlo: Final Stand storyline again, but it is taking some time to get to that part...
Preparations for the next release are coming along well. Take care! :)
Hi there! Thank you so much for checking out schlo! It’s great to hear that the website came in handy.
And that’s good to know about the text box. Sometimes it can be hard for me to find the right balance between style and readability. I’ll try to get around and edit that for future readers. I appreciate your feedback.
(p.s. I like your style! I’ll have to check out your projects, as well!)
Hello! Thank you for your inquiry about my novel. It was a very limited run: a couple of months with under 10 copies printed. The visual novel "what is schlo?" is directly based off of it with only some minor differences. I am gearing up for another game release on here currently, but I will see what I can do and possibly upload a copy of the book soon here on itch!
Haha, I noticed that someone had found it by searching for that and I felt quite honored/even out of place for it! Thanks for looking past its worst-ness, hahaha.
Thank you for the kind words! I've been working on the full version of the game a lot recently, so it should be something to look out for, soonish. I'm really glad you liked it! (sorry for your fried retinas, though...)
I had been interested in playing the games the group you're part of had came out with myself, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I will definitely have to do so now!
Thank you very much for comment! It means a lot to me that it was liked (though I'm sorry it made you feel sick!). The creation process has been slow lately, but you've definitely inspired me to work towards a full version. The endings were intentionally rushed and unfulfilling feeling, as I had a hard time imagining most of the characters reacting positively towards romantic advances at the point where I placed them. I will most likely make them make a little more sense later on. (Though I guess I plan on making a majority of the rest of the game about Dreygan and Slate (because that's the "correct" pairing...))
Thank you again! It means a lot to see my project could have reached someone positively.
