Hey ya'll!

Decided to join in this Jam once i heard it was about bookmark games.

I am currently working on an idea at the moment: "Holders of The Magical Bookmarks"

The game is about Players, called Holders, use their bookmarks, that have various effects and books they have read, to battle each other by bringing figures, spells, wepons and many more, to life! The only limit, is your imagination. ^^

So, my game is a mix of Trading Card Game (You have bookmarks with effects and bonus that affect the game in some ways) and Role Playing (You improve and discribe how each battle turns out. Imagine thecharacters like The monkey King battling against Pennywise, or 007 pulling out gadgets against Harry Potter)

Currently still fleshing out the rules though. I want to keep things simple for the jam and then go from there. Now, a central mechanic would be "Keywords". There would be twenty words with six "Core Genres Bookmarks (Fantasy, Horror,  Romance, Thriller/Suspense, Sci-Fi, Mystery and Western). However, The main issue i'm facing is that, a bookmark only has so much space on both saids that, i can't fit both the rules and keyword list. I was wondering to save space, i could make a sepeate sheet that has the Keywords and their respective effects. or would that be against the rules of the Jam?

I'm loving this idea and i want to go to town with it but i don't want to stepover toes.

My game idea is called Salt & Grit: The Shattered Line. It's a Fishing Survival RPG about Anglers looking for the best catch, while surviving the elements and hidden dangers of aan mysterious and endless Archipelago realm of the Bermuda Triangle.

It has plethora of Fish and blades, like fishing knives, are part of a Fisherman's tackle box.

As a fan of cooking and chaotic party shenanigans, this hits every note on my book.

oh no! I knew I was forgetting something!

A game about a party of adventurers going to group therapy? It actually works as a game concept!

As you and the party continue to go on quests, it's obvious that some gripe and internal conflict will build up overtime. Being able to voice your concerns and issues in a healthy way is both soothing and helps greatly.

I like this game, as normally in other games like D&D, party conflicts are often messy and results in PvP, even if the story beat calls for it. Which often doesn't go too well. Being able to have an in game therapy session can be a great narrative point as the party sort their issues out with each other and remembering the good then the bad.

I can also see this used in other systems and settings too that calls for it.

Very simple but great idea for a narrative game that tackles internal conflict in a healthy matter, which, to me, fits the theme for this jam!

I love listening to songs. Just when I want to creative something or just relax, I usually put on some tunes.

Lots of song I like but I think a good metal band would be Sabaton. They are like modern day bards that sing songs about the heroics and Valor of war veterans throughout human history. Since all their songs are based on various war subjects and key historic moments, there's endless ideas to make games from.

Thank you! I'm glad this hits that nostalgia for you. It was actually fun and challenging to how i could not only implement but add/change more of the 3d6D system, which, i find versatile when making a new game out of it ^^

Ather a week of pondering, I think I came up with a theme, setting, tone and mechanics to use with the 3D6 system.

A Scifi wrestling game called "Galactic Prime Wrestling",  which invovles various alien races suplexing each other in various rings all over the universe.

I'm going to list the mechanics I have in mind:

-Heel/Face: In the tradition of pro wrestling, there are two core type of Wrestlers. The Faces are the "good" guys while the heels are the "bad" guys. I want a connecting mechanic that can influence the crowd that can grant benefits if they are being or cheering.

-Stamina Pool: the Points Pool with name change and was thinking this could  be the Wreslter's HP.  For every successful roll, use the third dice to roll a number and take away that much from the opponent's  Stamia Pool.

-3 Count: The win condition to winning a match.  A 3 Count can only be initiate if one or more wreslter's SP is below 50%. . If the pool reaches zero, you get -3 to your contested roll in  a  3 Count.this is all I have for now but I think this is a good base to build off the base.

I'm open to feedbacks on here.

Whoops! I forgot to upload the file! Give me a few

Gotta say, the candies as dice is a really neat dice method. Also using Lasers and Feelings as a base and expanding on that is awesome (I played Tactical Waifus before, so i can say the basic system is awesome times two).  A lot is pack into these two pages and a lot of options for different story ideas and costume aspects.  Gunna play this as soon as i get a group together ^^

I only played for a short time but i am loving what you made here! Love the old school style (Actually like  the playable character model). This really harkens back to not only the old sierra games but also the old school horror classics as well! I like how you are given very lil information and have to venture out on your own and figuring things out. really takes me back to the wonders of exploration in games, if you look in every nook and cranny, youll find something (With that mindset, i was able to find the first weapon, the severed arm. Really made combat easier). My only con to give here is the tank controls. Nothing wrong with them but it does take some getting use to. Will continue to play ^^

Thank you!

Quick update with bigger, more readable fonts and edits to Normal and Grapple Actions. With Normals, each plus and unblocked rolls count as one hit per attack rolls. You can not use Defense Dice when you use the Grapple Action
