Oppai Odyssey- 8.5/10- n/c- this was highly recommended to me over and over and i finally broke, despite the art style throwing me off a bit initially (which is to be expected from a new AVN) i definitely enjoyed the reading.
even as someone who doesn't get off to these, ill be damned if i didn't get a little excited here & there.
the only points this loses is for a lack of agency in VN mode conversations as well as mc having a seemingly inconsistent personality.
OO has something for everyone, literally. I've never seen such a diverse cast of LIs while also being played straight (except for one, lol)
LeapOfFaith- c - 8/10 - Daz
the only DAZ game i've played to-date (12/30) and a game that's not afraid to hit and hit hard. the animation leaves something to be desired, but its a great story which i find more important in almost every context.
this is NOT a harem game, but each route has time and love put into it that makes you want to see each of them anyway. this is a cornerstone of the genre to many, and for good reason
Mist- 8.8/10 - c - one of the best RPG/AVN combos I've played (granted i also think its the only, but lets not worry about that)
the story is amazing, and grows on you even more after finishing somehow, though i find it difficult to elaborate without spoilers. the way it starts is kinda slow, and the art style definitely takes some time to get used to, but what doesnt? the price being added retroactively is a massive hit to it ngl, but i still recommend this game.
mbml- easy 9/10 - c(?) i consider this one of the greats, and for very good reason. i found myself completely enthralled with the story to the point of not even noticing when i had no decisions for upwards of an hour which goes to show just how incredible Nii's writing is. look out for the traps though! and i dont mean Shu
cute romances, good story, and well written characters make this, to me, a masterclass in the AVN genre.
I'm not just recommending this, I'm telling you to play it.
Superhuman- 9.1/10- n/c- you wont know what the fuck is going on and thats okay. the story is one that takes a LONG fucking time to read, but holds your attention the whole way through.
this is one of the best i've played, and my consistent and insistent recommendations should be enough to prove this, and i eagerly await the next update.
Eternum - 9/10 - n/c
the characters are exceedingly well written in a story that grabs your sack and doesn't let go.
the story is fantastic with cute romances that feel natural and real, harem aspect removed.
you always see this at the top of AVNs on itch you dickhead, and its up there despite its relative young age for a very good reason.
Cari's work is nearly unrivaled, play immediately.
once in a lifetime- 10/10 (messy hair)- c- in no uncertain terms, no matter how short this ends up being, this is the best AVN ive played to date.
OiaLt is one of the best of the genre, which is especially surprising considering being Cari's first (public) work.
it shows the talent and skill in his writing and storytelling prowess with good, wholesome romances and a story that doesnt let you go once it picks up. i didnt expect to be up reading all night, but here i am. (except how the MILFs started, what the fuck mate?)
companion of darkness- n/c- 8.7/10 - so this took me a fuckin while to do, life has a way of not giving a flying fuck.
the story took a minute to hook me, but when it did it refused to let go. cute romances, surprisingly intense action, and animations that frankly shocked me with their quality near the (current) end (chapter 10).
with roughly 12 hours of reading, this has already shot up to one of the better AVNs ive played and has stoked the flame of me wanting to play more avns, which is an accomplishment in of itself.
do i recommend this game?
without a doubt.
The most aggravating thing about these amazing AVNs is that most of them are unfinished lol. Like eternum is amazing, but being 70% done with THAT cliffhanger is such a kick in the nuts, which is why I currently prefer oial. On that note, I recommend summer heat for you, it's amazing even though it's only on .5. it's got great and wholesome romances, and even different dialogue if you do a "pure" run (dedicated to one girl)
hello again! i binged this whole damn thing after beating oial, and i gotta say, the people saying its so much better? they were RIGHT. i can see how much your work has grown and improved from oial, its insanely impressive. keep that shit up mein freund! i might buy the patreon cause how good this is, i cant believe it took me this long to get into AVNs.
