Thank you, this helped. I don't know how much it affected, but before reading your message, I checked the game files through Steam and it found 186 discrepancies and loaded these files. Although the problem went away after I did what you wrote.
Is it normal for the story progress to reset after exiting the game? The saves made by the player remain. I also have the entire art gallery open, although I have only completed one storyline. (Steam version of the game)
