Thank you! I do understand it would be difficult, but I did want it to require a bit of immersion and not be just a game that lets you hand-wave it (or at least that's the plan for the completed game).
To be honest, I have thought of something similar to a map, or maybe a multi-screen view for multiple planes at the same time, but I remained with this just for the mechanic, where you have to remember the rough outlines of the map. It's also the reason for which I have kept the top-down view, that being that it makes things easier.
I was looking into ways I could communicate the surroundings without it being too heavy-handed, just a slight nudge.
For level "B", that's entirely my fault, I was using it for other purposes, but it remained in the code as a sort of open-world level.
