It took almost 2 years, but after finding out how to fiddle with the setups, I made a 1.05.163 at Test Circuit on the Inari CA2. That's 1.999 seconds better than Kimvumpalu's last lap record done with the default setup! We thought that would've been impossible to beat ;) I know that a faster lap, probably under a 1.04 is totally possible, so we'll keep on trying!

I’m making Kimvumpalu a teamshirt of our mockup motorsports team for his birthday, but the printing company doesn’t print the shirt if I don’t have the rights for the logos.

My and Kimvumpalu’s 8th grade started last thursday. Sadly the 1.08.093 was the best I could do, as I didn’t have much time to play in the end of the summer.

But still, the first thing we did when we got our laptops back was to open GDSim! Such a wonderful sim you have made.

I actually just aquired myself a rookie licence in an Assetto Corsa racing league, hoping I could get better on my wheel.

I was wondering if you could explain the engine heat system for me. At first, me and Kimvumpalu thought that the meter showed the tire temperatures😅. But I have a few questions for you:

-How does the game calculate the engine heat?

-How does the heat affect the car/drivability?

After a bit of time of not playing GDSim, I have started playing it again. I am now chasing the world record of Test Circuit - Inari CA2 GT-S, what at the moment is presumably the 1.07.162 made by Kimvumpalu. Of course, if someone has made a better lap, please tell us!

My personal best is 1.08.093. I have started playing with a controller because it gives me much more accurate steering and throttle/brake input. My goal is to win Kimvumpalu's time before my summer break ends, so  Kimvumpalu would get some challenge for when school starts. Another thing on my side is that I am now playing on my own PC, instead of the crappy school laptop. Me and Kimvumpalu played on the school laptops, because, well, we played in school. But now I don't have to play on the lowest settings on 20fps.

I really want to thank you for making this game. I absolutely love it! It is a piece of gold in the middle of itch.io. The physics of the game are perfect. You can play this game competitively, chasing down the milliseconds of your laptime, or just have fun with your friends or the CPU's.

So please, if you ever think: "Maybe I should do some updates on GDSim. Just for fun.", please do so. It would make my day year.

Congrats on the 10 000 downloads! Me and Kimvumpalu always joked of us probably being the only players of the game, but this totally proves us wrong! I hope the game continues growing, as it’s so fun to play! Hope you have a good day!

This might sound really strange, but we were wondering if we could use the GDSim logo on as a "sponsor" on our sledding team (In our friend group league)? You don't need to do anything else than just give us rights to use the photo. The photo under is a visualisation of how the sled could look like.

Are you planning to finish Runabout, as it says WIP after the name? It would be nice if the track had braking points, because it's kinda hard to know when to brake. Thanks for responding to the last text!

Here's Bahrain International Circuit made by me and my friend, if someone wants to download and play it! The spawnpoint spawns you facing south, so you need to turn right at the start of the session, but we're trying to fix it. If you know how to fix it, please tell us. Also if it's possible, it would be awesome to have the track in the base game someday. ;)
