one of the minor co-developers here: I got the idea for having to walk on your head from those ppl that never want to crease their Jordans. I thought that could be a fun reason for the player to have to move this cursed way.

Thanks a lot! This was the first gamejam for a friend of mine. You're correct, a bit of audio couldn't have hurt but it wasn't our priority at the time :)
