There was a bug that caused the dialogues to stay in English even after selecting another language. I've fixed it now, so downloading the latest version should solve the problem
If it's in Chinese, then you've downloaded the Chinese version of the game. To play in English, you'll need to download the international version instead 🙂

And honestly, Germany always seems to produce strong generations of players. I think you were just a bit unlucky in the last two World Cups. The quality is definitely there.

Unfortunately, I still can’t figure out what causes this bug 😞 When I test the game myself, everything works perfectly. I’m hoping I’ll be able to completely solve this issue in the future.

Please try loading a different save file. This kind of error sometimes happens to me during development as well. Usually restarting the game fixes it, but in your case it will most likely not help.
If you don’t have any other manual saves, please check the autosaves. There’s a good chance you’ll find an autosave that’s not too far from where you were in the story.
