Love the concept and how well you were able to implement the idea in the short time frame! Adding this to my collection to play more of later ^_^ (only bit of feedback is that some sort of sound effect when petting the creature would be nice, because otherwise it seemed like the interaction wasn't doing anything at all until suddenly the affection meter goes up).

Simple, but enjoyable to play. I liked that there was a bit of a twist on what giving the being the lilies did compared to what I expected them to do! Good job!

Overall, loved the game! Bit slow paced until I reached speed level 3, then it became really fun. I would love to play an expanded edition of this (after the jam) with different enemies, and with caps on the levels for individual abilities (to make it worth acquiring the additional new abilities). Great job!

I would recommend

Necromancer little shop

Reincarnage

And my team's game, Skele-TON Run

Thank you for the feedback! Honestly, we didn't have time to balance our game, so the randomization between villages and battles does sometime err on giving people too many villages and not enough battles. It was definitely fun to work on this game as a proof of concept for the mechanics!

Thank you! Our team had a lot of fun working on this project!

Really loved the visuals and the overall concept. Got stuck on the battle mechanics though with the crows, since I couldn't figure out how to block (admittedly, fighter games arn't my usual genre so maybe I was missing some insider knowledge of typical keyboard commands). I did like the little touch of the sticky notes being your health bar!

Really love it when people remake or play on old fairy tales/mythology, so the creativity is 10/10 for me! Also, loved the art those little differences in her expression really help sell the concept overall. The only thing I was uncertain about was how death is an opportunity, it does come through in that last scene, but I think an expanded game (like "what comes next?") would really help give it more context. Looking forward to seeing what you all do with it after the jam!

Amazing voice acting (some of these lines are now living rent free in my head). Also, I liked the interplay between the overall concept of the game and the individual mini-games. Would love to play a fully patched and polished version after the jam is over!

Impressive mechanics to implement in such a short amount of time! Also, I love that you leaned fully into the idea of what it would be like to live as a zombie and how that would impact key game mechanics!

Overall, really clever play on the theme. While short for now, I 10/10 would love to play an extended version of this game!

I liked the art and music and how they, while simple, really backed up the story well! I am just a bit confused as to whether there were supposed to be multiple endings or not, since the branching logic would lend itself quite nicely to that format :) Really neat to see what you did with the theme!

Overall, loved the visuals! And while I did get the "vistor stuck in the background" glitch, like you said it didn't affect any of the game play and honestly made it kinda funny, like there's this entity just chilling no matter how many people I invited to have tea. Would love to play a polished version of the game after the jam!

Note: Working on reducing the browser file size so that it loads more quickly.

However, you can download the game and play it offline if you prefer!

It was a problem on my end where I had not checked a box when uploading the game, so no worries! I'm glad that you enjoyed playing the game ^_^

Hello GDWC, thank you for letting me know. The links to start the game are below the landscape image (two options: play starting with the tutorial, or just jump straight into the game). I'll update the game description to include those instructions!
