I didn't understand how to quit the chair so I tried many things like sprinting but I ended up no clipping through the floor. But overall good job!

Great game, welcome to the game jam community! Keep it up!

Wondering why this game doesn't have more ratings, you deserve more. I really like the terminal, but I think it could've been more intuitive (Lethal Company terminal is a good one for example). I think the chair integration was a bit forced but it's fine because the game is cool!

I played it too lol, too bad you couldn't finish in time, maybe you can try to reupload to put it back to x1 at least.

It's a fun game, very original!

Oh that is probably a resolution issue in browser, I made the game 1920x1080. My mistake. Can you try to zoom out (Ctrl + mouse wheel down)?

It looks like you had an initial idea with farming and got forced to put a chair somehow, but it looks silly and simple in the end, and the animations are smooth I like it.

Oh do you have any logs or errors when you try it in browser (Also check inspector) or Windows?

Thanks! With more time I would definitely have focused on the UX and added SFX, VFX and music.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Yeah I am against AI generated art too but since it was a jam done in 2 days I thought it would help me a lot and it did. At least to envision what I designed.  About the price of scarecrow, I didn't really had time to balance but I thought it would be interesting to explore more options like consumables or just being mechanically good, so I nerfed the price. Thanks for the feedback!

Heeey, noticed some people had trouble understanding how to play the game so here are a few additional tips and general information:

- RTFM (Most of the mechanics are written in the tutorial text. I don't really expect people to read it though. Sorry again couldn't properly work on the UX)

- VERY IMPORTANT: The first field that you unlocked is the one at north west. You can unlock the other ones at the terminal upgrades.

- Crops need to be watered twice. If not watered in time, they can rot.

- You need to be at range to cast a spell (including day QWER Left Click, night aggressive R and some of the items) so if nothing happens when you cast something, try to bring yourself closer to the target. For example, you need to left click at close range to use the terminal to buy items you need.

- Read the description of each item or upgrade. The most important items are Soil, Seed and Scarecrow. The most important upgrades are Chair and Scarecrow.

- Reaching the end of the night kills all the remaining monsters.

- One day/night cycle = about 3 min. If you don't have anything left to do during the day, you can always skip to night using the button at the top right corner.

Scarecrows have 3 different states:

- Unpowered: static, normal stats

- Linked: Blue HP bar, in range of the chair, buffed stat

- Powered: Yellow HP bar, press F to power a Linked Scarecrow and D to unpower one, can interact with your spells

Enjoy! If you have any questions, please ask!

Patched the web version, I highly recommend to play it with fullscreen on. Will upload soon the Windows version soon. Enjoy!

Hello, yep working on it! I am having some issues too so you should be able to run in browser correctly soon.

Had fun playing it, even if it is hard, that's how roguelike generally are. Think you could give a reward upon defeating a boss. You could also put some sfx and vfx to make the game feel more impactful, considering you guys are a team of 5. Otherwise very cool game!

Love the concept, it is very original.

Probably the best game I tested on this jam so far. Levels are so well designed. You guys have a lot of talent.

Ty!

Yeah it was tricky since we decided to stick in one direction and we tried to stay original while following the theme and focusing on game feel and juice. Ty for the feedback!

Glad you had fun!

Nice art direction, game flow lacks a small tutorial or direction.

Cool plateformer puzzle game, wished you made more levels honestly I was having a lot of fun

Love the cartoon sfx and music and the arts are funny af too

Cool game, very impressive if made with C++ and raylib!

I like the idea behind this game but it is a shame that you didn't go a bit further.

  • no ending
  • no sound/music

A text tutorial could've been helpful. I had to took a bit of time to understand the mechanics, what are my keybinds available etc. but overall this is a good classic plateformer.

Cool addictive game. Could feel like the art is following one original style and it is very good. A shame that it is a bit laggy and the difficulty is not well balanced. I can also feel like the whistle could have had a more important role.
