I was really hoping there'd be more levels to this! Great game with a very innovative concept.

This was freaky as hell, man. Viscerally uncomfortable. Great work.

Awesome game! Very unique concept, it reminds me of an old flash score attack game in a good way.

This is without a doubt my favorite game in the whole jam. You really blew me away with this. Your writing is beautiful and poetic, this is a piece of art that really stands above the rest just because of the sheer heart you can tell was put into it. Awesome game, thanks for making it.

"the drinks look so interesting, i don't recognize the money i'd need to get one"

By the way, I sent you a dm on reddit because itch doesn't have messages. Cheers.

I definitely have ideas for like 6 extra levels I wanted to make but didn't get to because of time. I think once I get finished with the work I have to do I'll make a significantly expanded version of this game. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for playing.

Thanks for the criticism, I'm going to work hard to improve my level design for the next shooter game I make. I really appreciate you playing my game. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing!

Next time I make a game like this, I'm going to make sure to make the hitboxes for the billboard sprites more clear. I used a small 16-wide hitbox on almost everything in the game for time constraint reasons even where the billboard was otherwise way bigger than that.. Also, it's totally a wolfenstein 3D reference, the whole game is! I really appreciate you playing, and I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

Noted! Don't feel bad, you're not the first person to report not knowing what to do in that very beginning section. I should have listed some controls/objectives on the main itch page. Thanks so much for playing my game!

If I continue working on this, I'll definitely lean more into the postal inspiration. Thanks for playing my game! I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

Everyone linked so far is in a collection I plan to play tonight! Keep them coming.

Your game just blew my mind, man.

Awesome man, I'll check yours out now. I hope you enjoy my game.

I'd love to play your guys' games! I'm almost through with my backlog of things I wanted to play so I need more. I'm trying to rate as many games as I can.  If you have time, play my game and let me know what you think!: https://kipperskipp.itch.io/fish-in-a-barrel

Loved the art in this, had a hard time figuring out what to do.  The character controls were hard to get used to for me, they felt pretty floaty and unresponsive. I also kept getting stuck on the ladders and dropping items only for them to disappear or visibly glitch off the map.  The art is so polished, I kind of went in to this expecting a more complete experience. Hopefully you guys stick together for some future games, I'd love to see you work on it.

This is about as polished as a game jam game could possibly be. I played this for quite a while and still didnt hit the end. You did some amazing work on this, guys! Easy perfect score.

ICan'tKeepSayingEveryGameIsMyFavoriteICan'tKeepSayingEveryGameIsMyFavorite. This is the best game ever, you did an amazing job on this, and I can tell you put a ton of effort into it. Great work, seriously. I can't wait to play whatever it is you make next. Also, if you end up updating this in the future, you should make it so I can put the glorps I don't like inside of my trash bins. Some of them were starting to look at me funny...

Loved the art in this. I had a hard time with the puzzle in the beginning, there's a lot of 4 letter words you can spell with the letters you gave for the puzzle. Also, this is really a knitpick, but the footstep sound effect does not sync up with the character's walking animation and that was bothering me haha. Overall this was a very polished experience from beginning to end and I'd be keen to see what other games you make in the future because I love little story driven rpgs like this. Great work.

Loved the atmosphere and visual effects you guys put into this game. No complaints at all, this is great work. Cheers!

This game is something else, man. This is definitely my favorite game I've played in the jam so far, the aesthetic appeal is amazing and the writing is beautiful. I'd love to play a longer narrative game in this style. Keep up the fantastic work.

This game was super fun. I always love the concept of physically fighting nightmares, and the minigames were all well put together / controlled well. As another person said, the punch out mini game went on a little long, but it wasn't too bad or anything. Great work all around.

I feel like this is the hardest game I have ever played in my whole life. I don't know if that's what you were going for, but if it is this is pretty awesome. It was a funny concept and very frustrating. I guess I'm just bad at micro-management. I could see you making this into a full rage game where you have to move a character while doing various other things. That would probably do well on youtube, lol. Great work.

When you start the game, the mouse doesn't lock into the camera perspective, so that makes this game unplayable for anyone with multiple monitors. You should definitely look into getting that fixed for future games you make. Otherwise, this was pretty cool.  Keep making good stuff.

Does this game have any gameplay? As far as I can tell it's just a piece of visual art. Still cool though.

Not sure what's causing that, shouldn't be on the game's end. Sorry you couldn't play! Let me know if you figure it out.

Thanks so much for playing my game! You should see a button at the top of your itch game page that says "Edit Theme." You can choose fonts and upload backgrounds from there. Cheers.

Awesome, I'll check yours out tonight. I love mega man.

I had so much fun working on this. I broke outside my comfort zone and worked myself until the very last minute but I think it was worth it and I'm very proud of the game I made. It feels very cathartic to have it finished.
*Edit Here's mine if you want to play it!: https://kipperskipp.itch.io/fish-in-a-barrel

The dog on your game's cover is very wide, I think I'm going to like this. Here's mine if you want to check it. https://kipperskipp.itch.io/fish-in-a-barrel

Would love to have you check mine out, I'll play yours as well. Thanks! https://kipperskipp.itch.io/fish-in-a-barrel

This is an amazing entry. It feels incredibly polished to play, and visually beautiful to look at. Great post processing, sound design, all around wonderful job!

Very cool! I was a bit confused, maybe you could include a short blurb with some objectives on the page? Great work!

I'd love to play yours! Here's mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4312738

It's going to be a mad crunch to finish, but I'm optimistic. I went a little too complicated on the enemy animations, they'll look good but It's gonna run me to the bone.  Solo artist and dev moment.

Having a lot of fun working on this this week!
Send some screenshots below of what you've been working on if you're still not finished! I'd love to see some teasers.Boatmobile hell
