Thank you for playing our game! The idea was that the penguin was going to have its own pattern as well. So that the left side is supposed to be "bullet heaven" and the right side was "bullet hell". The programmer in charge of both the penguin and orca's bullet patterns had some problems implementing them and we just ran out of time.

Thanks for the feedback! There was supposed to be a damage threshold where the player fails due to injuring the patient. The white blood cells were intended to attack the player to  punish friendly fire. 

That was the design intent! It is based after a mining laser. There's supposed to be no health for the mech as the goal is to get the highest score in the least amount of time. Kinda like how medical technicians have to be quick and efficient.
