Judgement 1:

Upon attending the recent performance of Lord Regent Morcant at his newly built Mintkeeper Theatre, I believe his efforts would be best put towards administrating his Lord's affairs than emptying the coffers into shoddy acoustics and unrefined musical arragenments scratched out by hedgebards. Any soul who is nurished by music would do well to avoid the Mintkeeper Theatre and find their nourishment elsewhere, such as at the Shepard Royal Academy.

I'm curious if anyone will bite on this, but I'd like to open a game up for anyone to participate in if they'd like. Just a few guidelines to keep it orginized.

1. Each letter written should be a single comment kept within this thread. If you play a turn (write a letter), wait for at least one other person to post before taking another turn.

2. Use the shared google spreadsheet below to keep track of characters. Please don't delete anything relevant to the game, but if you have to edit a character's info, use "strikethrough" to signify removing something. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1M1FXOhGvAaRb0CQJchomB_-FuusxXbW9Lm_ywwNY...

3. Let's keep it generally PG-13, if people are chomping at the bit for R or X rated material, play your own game or start another thread. I'm not thinking too hard about content moderation and I don't want someone to force my hand on it. Be cool.

If you read through the game (or even better, have a playthrough) and have some feedback, please share it here!

Ok, found someone on reddit who is reaally into American Pickers to ask about discrepancies between releases in DVDs. He said there was an infamous incident where American Pickers Collection 8 was originally released with 13 episodes, but it only hit a few stores before being taken off shelves and rereleased sometime later with only 12 episodes. The original releases that were out in the public became hot commodities in the fandom.

The guy I talked to had a copy for years but sold it in 2021. He kinda dodged the question when I asked why he would sell it, but just said "it was better that I didn't own it." He didn't have any kind of digital copy which would've been great, but I did find his original listing online. He didn't want to sell on ebay because apparently one collector would buy any of them listed there.

Legitimately had a dream about the machine last night. Can’t stop thinking about it!

Ok this message board just unlocked the most random memory for me. This was acouple years back, I was waiting in the lobby of a tire shop, I believe it was when I had to get a tire patched and switched out with the spare. I was watching the tv up in the corner and they had American Picker reruns on. No sound, no subtitles, just the muted episode playing.

The two Picker guy were in New Orleans I believe. There were the obligitory shots of wrought iron balconies and jazz. It picqued my interest when they went from a guy with a collection of old promotional posters to some old lady with a shut down arcade. I think it was a cellar unit or something because they were pointing out a highwater mark on the wall from flooding. Anyways, there was a panshot across a row of old pinball machines that ending on the Junji Ito pinball machine. I remember first thinking, "oh shit, Junji Ito, that's fun." But what stood out to me was that shot stayed on the Junji Ito machine for a really long time. Like, it couldn't have been for more than two or three seconds, I don't know, but it very quickly became unnerving. Something about that spiral.. The episode continued and I don't know what they ended up getting, I got called up to get my car back.

I hadn't thought about that at all until I saw this message board so I went to History Channel to try and rewatch that episode. Strangest thing, I can't for the life of me find this episode. To their credit, they have hundreds of episodes but I've been combing the episode descriptions and it's just not showing up. It's kind of making me feel like I'm going crazy because I specifically remember thinking, "oh shit, Junji Ito." when I first saw it in the pan shot. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I hope someone can find it before I have to binge watch every episode of American Pickers.
