It's because Pokemon specifically is incredibly anal about fan games.

Outside of rom hacks, I can't name a single one that didn't eventually get copyright struck/ settled into the ground.

Running the Linux version, after getting through the tutorial battle, sleeping in the inn, and returning to the forest, I can't find any encounters with slimes/other monsters. All it says is "there doesn't seem to be much to do here..."

Downloaded vo.o.5, on a Motorola Edge (2022), has severe lag. Ex: I press settings button, .5-.7 seconds later it pulls up settings. Can't actually play the game due to it.
