Not being able to pin apps is probably a Windows 11 bug as Microsoft does not expect users to use the Games Explorer so the compatibility has decreased, but there could be a patch, I'll look around. Also about the rating server I do not know how to fix that and also don't know if it can be fixed, I just bundled the patch as an auto-patching tool and the steps and files can be found on the WinClassic forums.
The dark mode bug is almost certainly another Windows 11 bug and likely cannot be fixed.
OS: Windows 10 IoT LTSC 2021
Version: 0.2.8
Required Inputs: Keyboard/Mouse, Gamepad
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the game.
2. Use the controller.
3. Switch to another window.
Expected behavior:
The mouse is released
Actual Behavior:
The mouse becomes locked where the client area of the game should be, even on alt+tab, unless security options is opened or the game switches back to keyboard and mouse input.
The issue appears to be a regression related to the hotfix for mouse capturing in version 0.2.8. While the original issue with keyboard/mouse input may be fixed, a new bug occurs when a gamepad is also connected. Steps 2 and 3 can be done in any order and the bug still occurs.
well now it does more but same idea
just it has an extra "verify" and "patch" step at the beginning and end
the "verify" step at the beginning verifies that the patcher is actually running (which could fail if the uac prompt was canceled), and if it fails it sends an error and reverts any changes done by the installer before it executes a.exe
the "patch" step at the end uses resource hacker to import the icon into imageres.dll.mun
edit: the patch step also sends a message, runs a timeout, and restarts
also theres a new program i made called m (yes its literally called m) included that just sends a message box with the title of the program
