This design for this game focuses on creating a cheeky time-traveling roguelike experience around Golf Solitaire. The intention was to be Slay The Spire for Golf Solitaire with Balatro visual elements.
Gameplay
Usually in Golf Solitaire, you have a fixed deck. Here, you get to pick your starting deck. And every battle(solitaire puzzle) you finish, you can add a new card to your deck. While you traverse the three 9-course acts, you will find many ways to modify your deck and gameplay! Across your map you can find workshops that allow you to add powerful modifications to your cards, opportunities to remove cards, as well as events which provide you with an opportunity to decide your fate and earn a boon or a bane. Elite and boss tiles will reward you with a special club to your bag!
Inspiration
As I said above, this game is a shameless combination of a bunch of games I love - Slay the Spire, Balatro, Fairway Solitaire, Disney Solitaire.
