That sounds like as if the next level could not be loaded for whatever reason.  I had actually tested for the uploaded d64 file that  I could load all levels up until the final congratulations screen after the last level. But may be it is something else I can not think of. Is the error reproducible? after which level does it happen? (level symbol?)

The level symbol is actually a binary level counter.

when you move you are not only moving the selected ballon.
the other ballons around it are moved aswell. pushing these others around allows to create line of four or more ballons as well. good luck

Thanks for the hint.  I have fixed it so that it actually uses port2 now.
