Fucking hell.
That phrase stuck with me throughout Minty Fresh. Fucking hell. This is a powerhouse of a story. MC Araminta (aka Minty) is compelling and complex. ‘The incident’ and ‘the rescue’ are superbly drawn. (hehe)
I loved this character-driven story. A little magic, a little mystery, a little necromancy, lots of atmosphere. The last quarter was heart-pounding. If the following doesn’t grab you then you just have a cold, dead, heart. Oliver can help with that…
“He was angry. Angry that he was dead. Angry that he was alive.”
