I mean obviously quality of writing, story, etc, but playtime/word count is also definitely a big factor and this game is only 45,000 words, which is only a couple of hours of reading, though idk exactly how much of the game is purely writing ofc so could be way longer. It’s also a shame there’s no voice acting.
I realized re-reading my other comment it likely came off rude, which wasn’t at all my intention. I don’t have a lot of money to spend on leisure, so usually when i’m browsing, paid games are an instant no, but I thought this one seemed really interesting so and wanted to know what people thought. Sorry for not being very well-spoken :,)
Adding a weird age gap for "realism" doesn't make it justified, especially since the game isn't entirely historically accurate.
"Applying today's standards, laws, and values on a historical time period is not constructive, although, unfortunately, is done far too often nowadays." --> They're fictional characters. Furthermore, by that logic, you're saying that it's okay people had slaves because it was considered okay back then.
Since it was normalized back then, it makes sense that people had slaves and doesn't necessarily make them bad people, but it was still wrong and horrible and shouldn't have happened.
It's the same with this type of age gap, obviously to a far lesser degree. Normal for the time period, still not cool.
