Help, how do I review on Itch.io? (Trying again.) T_T Listen, I read an ARC of this book, like, a year ago, and it was delicious. I loved it. I loved it so much I bought it again. If you put Blade Runner, John Wick (whichever one where everybody on Earth is hunting him down), and Altered Carbon into a blender and added some sweet sweet genderf***ery, you'd get pretty close to Run Like Hell. I read a lot of forgettable books but this was not one of them. Some scenes are still fresh in my head. Quality work. Would read sequels / shared world follow-ups. Would watch a show. Would play the video game. Do recommend.

This is pretty well outside my comfort zone (I'm very ace, haha) but I was blown away by the variety of art styles and stories celebrating body types that aren't considered traditionally attractive. That's something I've lowkey noticed in other queer works, but it hit differently here, in a way that affirming and beautiful and, at times, a little weird. I mean, that one guy boinks a plant. Anyway, as someone who wasn't here for the spice, I still loved this collection. Highly recommend.
